I was touched by listening to your reading and reflecting on your grandmother’s letter. In my early days getting sober, I asked my sponsor how people living in extreme poverty could live a life of spirituality? He replied, “You’d be surprised.”
Your past week (pre-trip north) through today has, to me, presented conundrums on living joyfully in the midst of... life? The lessons you’ve shared about doing so consist of staying in the present, practicing gratitude, being loving & kind, and having faith that the Universe is indeed friendly. Though at times showing an odd sense of humor!
Now I see there’s more use for cornstarch than thickening clear sauces! Back to the business of being present...
