A note from LoveLetterist:

A social media post popped into my awareness.

The author posits that, "Chemo, radiation and surgery have not cured a single cancer in the history of the treatment."

I volleyed back over the net, "I'm confused... In 2022 I was treated by a competent, caring medical team. I had a complete pathologic response to chemo. Surgical results found no remaining cancer cells."

The conversation bounced back and forth a few more times.

He suggests I see a "good integrative physician" who can "track down the cause of my cancer" and eradicate it from my life.

What he doesn't recognize is... I already have.

A real head scratcher that! As if to say, “You’re only cancer free if you do it the right way.” Perhaps “my way?” You can correctly guess I’m quite glad you did it your way (and with the clinic team) and channeling your connection with the God of your understanding.

Words. What does "right" mean? The inquiry took me to one origin. ORIGIN Old English **_riht _**(adjective and noun), **_rihtan _**(verb), **_rihte _**(adverb), of Germanic origin; related to Latin **_rectus _‘ruled’**, from an Indo-European root denoting movement in a straight line. When does a straight line not feel like a straight line? Is there something not "right: about that? As usual clueless!

Hmmm...

Right for whom?

I happen to enjoy the twists and turns.

We both know that words are slippery little devils. 😂

True. Some words feel to me more slippery than others. Perhaps, that can be said for people too? That aside it appears that the word "right" has taken on definitions/meanings that stray from its origin in an acknowledgement of "twists and turns". Is there a "right" answer? It occurs to me that this is no trivial question in a world full of people choosing up sides based upon their version of right or wrong. Sorry, this was not likely your intention to spark this inquiry but that's where it has taken me. Thank for, unintended but nevertheless important consequences....for me. Is all "right" in/with the world?

Didn’t Thayer say something like, “People — the source of all our problems — and the only source for solutions?”

Happy to provide a space for you to think out loud, to put proverbial pebbles in shoes. 😁👟🥿👠👞🥾👢👡

I was thinking of LT earlier today. The quote that I remember is "only people have or are had by problems". What I was musing that might have said. If you solve one problem another problem or set of problems arises. If that's true creating the problems you would prefer to have is the solution to your existing problem. In this respect the problem I'd prefer to have would be how to deal with too much "love" and "peace" within our species.

IIRC, LT also gets credit for, “Must people prefer the problem they have to a solution they don’t like.

Well… I have met the enemy. She was me. And the solution to that problem has included years of introspection, rooting out and understanding my contradictions, learning how to set boundaries, and acceptance — full stop. I had to stop arguing with reality.

Ah! You are quoting me. LT said "Most people prefer a problem they can't solve to a solution they don't like". We discussed into the wee hours on several occasions about the difference and/or similarities between our respective versions. Even LTs favorite brand of scotch didn't resolve much.

How did the soc-med poster think you wrote Poise? There are varieties of people who feel better/superior by raining on others’ parades. Unaware of the value of connectication. 😊

The theme of today’s post suggests the final picking up of all scraps and finishing with a high powered dust buster. For eraser crumbs, sharpened pencil slag, and any other traces of the Poise efforts. Making way for the new book!

It’s evident Cal, Nia, and Tal are of like minds. My mind just dished up “Harmony of the Muses” based on my prior comment. Next I remembered the greeting cards that have a device to play music when the card is opened. I can imagine ordering a supply to fit into the pages of the next book. (I can hear you saying, “Stay away from the ether!”) Thinking of young readers...

Given all the irons you keep in the fire and some new ones for the holidays, I extend best wishes for the balancing act that is your life. 😁

What bothered me about the post is that it called big attention to an unscrupulous practitioner who was telling people they had cancer when they didn’t. Yup… that’s super pooper.

This guy though was using this as a reason to promote alternative over traditional medicine.

He was using one bad apple to throw thousands of upstanding practitioners, researchers, and caregivers under a microscope of doubt and mistrust.

Ideas for book 5 continue to swirl!!! Current thought is mixing visual art with poetry and a few facts for each animal. A trifecta?

Egads! Music too? I’m going to combust!

You’d look good in a black dress with flames emblazoned in strategic locations. And Mary Jane’s are fine for dancing. Dare I say safe?
