Yesterday I had an opportunity to watch my friends Skylar and Sam Schneider race at a local venue. You might recall from previous posts that in addition to cycling, the pair owns and operates a bakery named The Bread Pedalers? https://www.thebreadpedalers.com
After taking 1st and 2nd, the sisters both spoke with humility and gratitude -- recognizing the community support of their cycling, business, and family. It brings great joy to watch them flourish.
One needn’t look very hard to find tales of misery and tragedy these days. Thanks to today’s loveletter it wasn’t difficult to find a heartwarming and uplifting story to set the tone in my mind to focus more on such reading.
Where did you “snap” the tomato plant? (Snap is a hanger-on from when we used Brownies to take snapshots...) The blue sky background is a fine pairing with the yellow tomato blossoms. The colors of Ukraine’s flag.
The quote from Isaac Newton exhibits both humility and an acknowledgment of our interdependence. Bravissimo!
I considered that location. After your earlier comments about not wanting to allocate time for “deck adornment” I ruled that out. Then again, as tomatoes are fruit bearing plants, having a fruit plant on the deck could warrant an exception! 👍
Surely he will. The fires of creativity and humanity constantly informing your life can’t go unnoticed. To the benefit of you both. Besides, I see you preparing insalata caprese! Maybe a warm, crusty baguette from the oven. Accompanied by a glass of “nose-y” chianti. 🤷🏽

Seeds of inspiration for the next generation!
Maaah-vaah-luss!

Thank you for your appreciation!
Tomato plant is growing in pot on our deck. :)

Good memory!
I have taken no responsibility for the tomato plant, nor the veggie garden “down below”. Greg’s got them in his hands.
Why am I thinking of the Little Red Hen?! I hope he lets me have some. 😂

Yum!
“Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not using it in a fruit salad.” 😁
The thought of tomatoes with grapes and blueberries raises an eyebrow!
And ketchup.
Wow.
