Have autumn leaf colors gone by the wayside? The Moody Blues sang, “When the browns, reds, and golds of autumn, lie in the gutters, dead.” Then later in the song, “Remember then the summer bird, with wings of fire flaying, come to witness Spring’s new hope, born of leaves decaying.”

I’ve learned to appreciate the then evident framing of different trees, like outstretched arms, to welcome birds wintering over, perched owls in search of rodents, and the scittering of squirrels.

Either way, a getaway weekend sounds fabu! Pictures and stories next week? 😉

Oh bother! We'll see. The Tahoe is playing dead. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cold weather can bring out the worst in an older battery. 😔 Around here, auto parts stores will perform a metered check on remaining oomph of the battery. Then gladly sell a replacement. Plunking down well in excess of $100 is never one’s first wish, but can prevent you from being stranded in winter conditions. Any jump start compadres on hand? Or jumper cables for that matter?

So sorry to hear of this impact on your plans...

The friendly Universe was looking out for me this morning! Henny slipped her collar, in the dark!, and… she let me catch and re-collar her. Good girl Henny!

New battery and the truck’s alive and well!

Grateful and ready for a change of scenery.

So Ms Henny may be trying on “Mellow” for size? My fido buddy, Izzie, becomes like her younger self with arrival of cooler fall weather.

So glad your trip preparation sounds well in hand. Vroom! Vroom!!

It's always fun to celebrate seniors. They deserve as much fun as they can handle. Happy Birthday to them both.

T-shirt: “Just remember if we get caught, you’re deaf and I don’t speak English.” 😁

Have fun getting out and around this weekend, Gail!
