“Oooo-la-la!” Thalia extended one leg over her head and twirled on her other set of toes. “A new word — might come in handy some day — I’ll put it in my pocket!”

“Nice,” said Urania.

“Mhmmm.” Calliope rested her chin on her hand. “Blessed are the flexible…. for they will not be bent out of shape.”

Words from Typist:

  • In no-c news, I received immunotherapy today. I gave out packets of stickers to my caregivers. That was fun! Little things have the power to elicit big smiles.

  • The muses and I might be MIA for a few days.
We’re taking a weekend road trip.

  • And the birthday party? I’ll let the picture speak.

Have autumn leaf colors gone by the wayside? The Moody Blues sang, “When the browns, reds, and golds of autumn, lie in the gutters, dead.” Then later in the song, “Remember then the summer bird, with wings of fire flaying, come to witness Spring’s new hope, born of leaves decaying.”

I’ve learned to appreciate the then evident framing of different trees, like outstretched arms, to welcome birds wintering over, perched owls in search of rodents, and the scittering of squirrels.

Either way, a getaway weekend sounds fabu! Pictures and stories next week? 😉

It's always fun to celebrate seniors. They deserve as much fun as they can handle. Happy Birthday to them both.
