A note of thanks from Loveletterist:

You, who have been with us from the beginningest of beginnings (3mm beginnings anyhow 😉), thank you for traveling with Tal, Nia, Cal, and me through c diagnosis, treatment, cure, and eeeeee! book writing -- THANK YOU!

We are formatting. Working on cover design. Preparing to share our story with the world.

None of it would be the same without you.

Stayed tuned!

I can’t imagine not being along for the ride... There is no place I would rather be than witnessing and supporting the birth of this new book! 📖 📚 📖

And although I haven’t been around since the earliest beginnings, I have been around long enough!

#PoisedForSuccessWithPoise 😉🙌🏼😉

IIRC, you were a 3mm supporting member… or whatever honorary name Substack uses for those who jump in at the beginning.

TY Bobby!

It’s a Ink Blot kind of day. 😳 The Rorschach variety.

I pinched to find the emergent hatchling, then it all began! The creatures and objects! Distorted, almost malevolent. At the right end I see the figure of a tall, thin person facing right with its face a black oval disc. To its right is a face in right side profile, its head covered by a carelessly tossed white linen napkin. One eye shows below napkin’s edge, as well as its nose and lips. The wood fence swift has its left, front foot on this face’s head as the swift begins tearing an opening in the last eggshell.

Inadvertent send! (I can hear faint voices crying out, “Make it stop!”)

Most likely a flashback to my training in clinical psychology and administration of the Rorschach test. In the scoring of responses, comments on aggression, pieces of meat (I avoided remarks about the chunks of liver, bottom right and center/bottom), along with scenes of wounding and mayhem are all indicative of psychosis, paranoia, and schizophrenia. Just saying...

What then? With the gruesome advice from the unknown editor or publisher on the production of books, an Inkblot Test administration seems vital! Watch all around you 24/7. With four of you the six-hour shifts will be doable.

By the way, is that the tail of a giant/miniature whale waving around on top of the left egg?

Many thanks to Loveletterist for the “freaky” painting today! Perhaps collagist? 👹

You write more than the muses do! 😂

More collages on the horizon so that we can have more of these entertaining comments!

As I learned to administer and analyze Rorschach responses, two unusual cases occurred. On person held the card and looked at the edge, without responding! All 4 edges of all ten cards. Keeping his cards close to his chest, one might say!

A second, a person that I knew, provided well over 100 responses. 18-20 was typical. His were very detailed and specific. There was also much blood and gore and dead animals. Administering the test requires a straight face ... and no giggling! Or screams... The one administering the test has to record the examinee’s responses. Including gestures or touching of the cards. Where on the card? What features? Every. One.

All that said, this collage and the previous one, of a bicycle, seemed to shift my eye & thought processes into that realm. Free association, like that on the psychoanalyst’s couch.

Loveletterist/analyst-therapist. More hats to wear. 😊 As Rod Stewart said, “And you wear it well.”

I don’t think I could keep a straight face!

I think I’ve heard that a lot about our personality can also be detected through our handwriting? Maybe I saw that on a tv show?! Who knows what can be discerned from artwork?!

Thanks for keeping it interesting Gary!
