Was I surprised! At first I thought the shoe in the drawing was a Kabuki mask with a handlebar mustache. My “advanced vision” is hard at work...
Taken literally, Cal’s statement would preclude chewing gum and walking at the same time? Or conversing with a neighbor as Henny’s walk takes her past an outdoor neighbor?
For the sake of an open-ended approach to being I’m on Thalia’s team. Twirling included! 💃🕺🏼😊
Well… What happens if we don’t take Cal’s comment literally? I’m pondering that.
I should have gone with my initial instinct for “camera off” during the call. I have often had phone conversations while walking and felt adequately present for both activities. 🤷♀️
For me, discretion is operative. I’ve read more than once that multi-tasking results in a measurably higher rate of errors. Going “multi” with tasks using the same brain locations might be 👎🏽. Verbal processing and creative acts often use opposite hemispheres of our brains. Would that be a safe de-connectication?
That makes perfect sense. Your quick comment on “distraction” addresses the complexity of our relationships with others. Role expectations. Judgment of ourselves. To a degree, people pleasing.
Know I tick those off with no judgment of you. While we’re all works in progress, the wrinkly edges of our personalities still are with us. I think they’re supposed to be! As humans.

I had to look up Kabuki masks. 😂

Here’s a thing… my call was with my listening circle where our intent is to be witnesses to one another’s shares.
Not only was I distracted, I was likely also a distraction.

Gives us something to work on!
😁
I think poo pickup should count as three things. WAAAY over max quota. Non-optimal success inevitable. 💚
Is "non-optimal success inevitable" a phrase you picked up in the navy?
When I worked for Social Security I learned an entire vocabulary of acronyms and form numbers. Those were the days!
Well, it wasn’t a *failure* as such, just not the level of success it could have been... non-optimal, IOW. 😁
In Other Words…
Grateful for search engines that help me translate acronyms! 😁
