A note from LoveLetterist:

Do you know what's interesting?

The trio and I didn't so much choose girl and dog,

as they chose us.

We'll stick with them for now.

Any thoughts?

I'm loving the girl and dog! It makes me smile too. Your work is fabulous Gail. Keep going.

Thank you Julie! This morning I have a clear recognition that many of the best things happening in my life found me! Including the muses and now… girl with dog.

Three, yikes, four girls would crowd the canvas! Henny might get trampled!! Including you in the “girl count” intends no disrespect. Rather a note of your never ending childlike wonder and energy. Onward with the day’s adventures!

Onward indeed! I’m just off a video call with global guests. The topic focused on energy and raising your frequency.

There was standing, jumping, and arm waving. Boisterous folks calling out what they want to manifest.

Cal and Nia quickly decided we will not be going back. 🤭

Know thyself!

But some appeal for the resident twirler? Majority rules. 😊

Haha! Yes… it was the twirler who said, “C’mon. Let’s try this!”

She’s fine with not returning. Her twirl is being satisfied with book readings and OLOL interviews. 😁

Girl and a dog? Or girl and a pup? The canine sometimes has a fascination for objects in the scene that make it seem young.

hmmmm.. I hadn't thought of it THAT way

I've been thinking of the dog as a guide... we all know what we get when we spell dog in reverse... from G to d?

What if that thinking holds... and we add your comment to the mix!?

Our seven yo labradoodle also fascinates easily. She has a strong spirit for play and is an equally strong defender of our premises. (We’ve not lost any door-to-door salespeople recently.) 😊

Libor—

We are a welcoming group here at 3mm. Together the muses, LoveLetterist and our guests engage respectfully with each other and the days ideas.

Please tell us? How did you find us? And why are you posting links to your work that are unrelated (am I missing something?) to anything happening here?

Thanks,

Gail

Hi, basically, I'm considering myself a Love Letterist, too! My whole Substack is an amusing series of love letters, too, accompanied by all kinds of music I feel! Love is the muse, our bonding material. I think we're all intertwined, our content. Don't you think? Respectfully.

I do not agree

You are crossing a boundary.

Yes, we are all connected.

Yes, we are all individuals.

Please respect my boundary.

Seeing Tal and Henny pondering today’s art, I thought of old and new. The moon, in today’s waning attire, as today as possible. What’s old? The gigantic megaliths of Stonehenge. Older than the pyramids. Let me concede the moon’s age as greater than this day. Beyond the Big Bang, but well before Stonehenge.

I like both quotes today, Gail. I picture your studio having a file drawer sized storage compartment, and a carnival-like grabber to select the day’s quotes. Not hand operated of course. Instead directed by heart and soul of LoveLetterist as she offers outlooks and prospects for the new day.

Delighted.

Writing found me.

The muses found me.

Now… girl and dog arrive and they are stickier than rubber cement.

The tailor talks.

Are we listening?

I frequently ignore.

It's hard to give that comment a heart.

Willfully?

Or because you cannot hear?

Expand full comment

Certainly the latter. Literally for physically hearing. Figuratively for days when I’m not feeling connected with the whole of Great Spirit.

Finding and maintaining that connection has come through consistency with finding flow through art/writing/walking.

Yes. The walking. Perhaps it’s my shortage of same that clobbers my serenity at times! I was able to rescue a young snapping turtle this afternoon with just a bit of walking. I got him from the middle of a nearby intersection to the edge of our stormwater pond. So that was a nice episode of helping in the Great Spirit realm.

I am loving the girl and the dog but I wonder how the muses feel? Do they miss hanging from trees and swinging on swings?

What 3mm has become is a way to process and focus… a morning ritual that sets a tone for our day. I suspect setting some limitations (style) will help us to do so with elegance, continuity, and focus. Also… it will be fun to challenge our creativity within a frame/limitation? There is still a lot of room to evolve?

And perhaps winged muses might flutter onto the pages of a book one day.

Thank you for your bottomless generosity of encouragement!!!
