A long time ago my friend Micheal Ramsburg gave me a phase that I keep in my pocket at all times: What is small to the bear looms large to the ant.
I don't know where I fall on the spectrum of ant to bear these days, but I do know that I've cultivated faith, perseverance, and the courage to ask bears for help. 🐜🐻
I'm so excited to learn how to pull multimedia creations into book quality images.
I've experimented with the sticker feature on my iPhone... It works, but fails Nia's quality standards.
Your remarks just now brought to mind a short YouTube video I watched recently. Several friends had paused their bike trek on a one lane gravel forest road. For water, rest, camaraderie. Suddenly a large black bear approached traveling in the opposite direction. The bear seemed unruffled and just kept walking. Not even a glance at the bikers.
The bikers videotaped the occurrence. Their thoughts on appropriate actions were voiced clearly. Adrenalin affects speech in speed and timbre.
Sometimes you get the bear. Sometimes the bear gets you! Bear spray may not set a harmonious tone for your bear consult. 🤔
Parks recommend that hikers/backpackers carry bear spray as one way to counter an aggressive bear. I’m more inclined to respect the bears. After all, I’m the noisy intruder. Being still is my starting point. If that fails, then I would become the bear’s next meal. “And so it goes,” Vonnegut would say.

We think... It's time to reach out to a bear.
I'm eager to see how you evolve using multimedia creations. May you find a kind and helpful bear!
Thanks Karen! I have some friends I can start asking questions of… a great place to start.

Bears spray?
News to me!
Only when assaulted with bear spray.
Haha!
Do my mistaken inferences speak volumes or what?
I didn’t think of humans spraying bears. 🤭

My friend Manu once told me a story of driving his family through snowy Colorado mountains.
I projected myself into the scene and asked him if he was afraid.
His answer surprised me…
“No.”
He also said somebody (a stranger) in an SUV acted as his guide.
Call it progress on the learning curve or the result of recent resolutions, your Muses were plying their trade with aplomb. Perhaps a kiwi?
While suitable for framing, my view of your photograph was just Jim Dandy!
Have the day you intended in your hopes and aspirations. Maybe bake another batch of cookies? Sometimes eating small ones can resemble eating air. 🤷🏽
2024 is off to an excellent start!
I did slip on one of my new habits I’m trying to build.
The great news is: Baby it’s a brand new day!
