I was so touched by Lear’s 3 wisdoms shared in the letter linked below his quote:

Happiness is an inside job.

Trust is worth any knocks that come with it.

We are only in competition with ourselves.

😔 In my race to be at the next place, I simply failed to pay attention, to read thoroughly. (I like the phrase, Pay Attention, as it represents earning our own outcomes?)

So thanks for adding your comment about Mr. Lear. Maybe you detected my “skimishness” earlier today. 😊

There are many benefits to paying attention is what I have found!

A friend recently recommended I watch Miss Potter. I did and am grateful to be aware of her story!

OTOH… There are lots of links and book suggestions I can’t/don’t make time for. There is so much to see, hear, and learn!

A writer on Substack this morning uttered almost those exact words about the sea of creatives’ efforts. After some reflection on this, the writer returned to gratitude for so much source material. But urged thoughtfulness and restraint before drowning in the sea of same.
