Scrambled I am today-only present enough to stroll with Izzie. You know what Ben Franklin said, “Late to bed and early to rise, Causes dark circles under your eyes.” And hoping for a more sparkly day tomorrow.
May your week end be graced by flowers. Even if a trip to market is required. All the best. Hug a Muse or two.
I am doing it. Writing and painting, learning how to use Instagram to get more engagement with both what I am painting and what I am writing on Substack. Thank you Gail for teaching me!!!
Terpsi- bringing nature into everything - dancing creates heat, like the sun's warm kiss- it creates wind like the breeze off the shore- it grounds you like putting your bare feet on the earth- it's also great exercise without having to call it exercise. Music from the sounds of the birds all around.
Ooooh! We just reread “The Wind” from The Book of Qualities…
So Inspiring!
“The Wind is a gossip. Not in a malicious way. She just likes to move around and stir things up. She runs through the fire barefoot and has no fear of heights. She carries big blue bowls of rain with her. She plays the flute and loves all kinds of sounds. Her laughter fills the sky. The wind is a wonderful storyteller. I still remember how she introduced me to the qualities when I was a child.” -Gendler
A note from LoveLetterist:
Every new beginning...
comes from some other beginning's end.
4th Muses -- Is there something (physical, a skill, a habit -- ???) that you can give new life to?
My Scribe asked if I would help him reassess three words from our recent past…
Shoshin
Ukiyo
Muditā
I told him when they were our three words for the year, we thought about them every day… 🤔
His reply was, “Interesting…”
His wheels are turning and he’s considering new ways to integrate these important words back into his ADLs…
My Scribe is exploring digital nomad options…
He’s ready to follow the energy of his Kokoro…
He says the feedback he’s receiving from his audiobook has him thinking about a host of new opportunities…
He’s also planning a return trip to Japan for 2025!
He also just asked me to thank YOU for this prompt today!
Sometimes he doesn’t know I’m listening and I hear things not necessarily intended for me…
Like for example, he just said (actually didn’t say but was thinking)… he doesn’t think you know how much you and your words mean to others…
OK, much to reflect on as we contemplate our Kokoro…
In Gratitude,
Us!
Whoa! Serenity and Scribe — digital nomad, audio book, Japan — a rolling stone gathers no moss.
Keep rolling!
🙌🏻
Bobby just revisited Shoskin meaning the other day!!! We are all connected!

Are you paraphrasing Ben’s quote. 🤭
Glad to hear Izzie is doing her part to hold you to the walk — part of your routine. 🐕🦺

You ARE doing it… in mighty fine form! Your writing resonates strongly with me. Your art, too!
I’m digging your approach of sharing two voices here — Sharon’s and Terpsi’s. You are making it your own and that is so cool!

Such a good book! I am grateful you recommended it to me. 📖
This may be my favorite of all your recent pieces!
Thank you Karen!
The images have been fun to create. :)
