I agree with your quote, "There's real magic in turning something off for a few minutes". This makes me think of Cafe' Anne's recent post about cell phones and people who don't use them. I use mine but I'm not glued to it like so many other people are. I believe that it's healthier to step away from the electronics for a while and enjoy nature or the people and pets in your life. So many people don't take the time to enjoy what's away from the screen anymore.
I remember reading once that “cell phones replaced cigarettes” as an addiction, an escape from a world bringing up feelings we don’t know what to do with.

They are such a remarkable tool/invention! And, I am familiar with their siren call first hand. 🤷♀️ I’ve deleted and re-downloaded apps countless times.
Almost always when I walk, play in the yard, or go to the dog park with Hen, the phone stays in purse/car/house.
