I have a friend who says, “Don’t give up five minutes before the miracle!” For me the Henrietta progression has served as a lesson in accepting differences, examining expectations, and celebrating the uniqueness of each other.
Ahhh! Fantastic observations which I appreciate and take joy in being part of…
I think I’d add patience and intuition to some of my big take aways.
For a looong time I felt deed down that letting Henny run free would result in a tragic end. It was Greg who first had the courage to let her go free on an open open trail… with another dog. All three of us have been working on our trust and freedom since.
Although I miss Mara (a dog I only met through your words, Gail) I find Henny has grown on me. Probably as she has grown on you and your words show your ever-increasing love for her. 💚
Henny is so quirky and unique and stubborn! She cracks me up. In some ways I think she helps me to appreciate such qualities in myself. How cool is that?

Slow going.
Worth it.
Your suggesting “patience and intuition” rings true. My lapses in both likely blocked them from my radar screen!
I believe that Life/God/Universe is speaking to me all day, every day. I listen and try to understand as best I can. 🤷🏻♀️
I think it was T.S. Eliott who said it's all hint and guess.
Doing my best to guess more on the side of advancement over setback/stuck.

Gosh! Don’t tell us you’re given to occasional “Bark-Howl-Bark-Bark-Bark” sessions some nights?!
Hahahaha!
I haven’t tried that… yet! 😂
There’s nothing quite like being awoken from a deep sleep by barkhowlbarkbarkbark! 🤦♀️
A Happy Birthday wish coming to you Henny. 🎉❤️🥳
Woof! Thank you! 🐾
