“It’s Sunday… Why are we writing?” The Muse of Many Questions slurped 7UP lemon-lime from an aluminum can — a perfect pairing with leftover Italian Napolentana pizza.
It appears to me that Typist is more appreciative of life than she ever has been and the beauty of what I am sensing gives me a deeper appreciation for life as well.
I operate from a place of gratitude but I’m not always grateful for every breath I “get to” take.
Recently, I spoke on the fallacy of time…
We have a tendency to minimalize the importance of time by referring to time in years rather than events.
I don’t know about all of you, but for many of us, we might only attend one concert per year like the one typist so kindly shared with us here.
When we shift or thinking to moments, or events, versus years, we suddenly realize we only have 20 more times or 20 more concerts to experience. That is much different than 20 years…
It’s worth remembering that although tomorrow is kept for us, it’s not guaranteed.
“Be patient towards all that is unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms, like books written in a foreign tongue. Do not now strive to uncover answers: they cannot be given you because you have not been able to live them. And what matters is to live everything. Live the questions for now. Perhaps then you will gradually, without noticing it, live your way into the answer, one distant day in the future.”
~Rainer Maria Rilke
My only substitute would be “Live your way into the answer, one day at a time.”
Since all art is theft, I’m stealing!

Life is grand! I was re-reading Meandering Muses and just re-read that chapter? Just call me the “dip” in serendipity!
I might think “I’m in the right space” for this concert. Or, I might think the concert is what I needed to feel this way or that? Isn’t it possible that the result is synergistic? A connection with a community of enthusiastic performers and a receptive audience. After all, both the performers and the audience chose to be together last night!

"I wanted to be a monk, but I never got the chants." 😁
