I don't even usually like pepperoni, but cured meats currently hold appeal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let's just say I might be able to fit back into some clothes I'd outgrown.

From a max weight around 190 in the late 90’s, to now hanging out in the low 160’s for years, my adaption was divestiture! Thriving thrift stores! College students buying the cast offs and lacerating legs of the jeans. I’m thinking David Bowie: “Cha-cha-cha changes...”

That song reminds me of high school friends and a two-tone blue Mazda 626 with a sunroof!

You know me... I don't hold onto much, but there are a couple of pairs of jeans I'll be happy to wear again come fall. 🤔 #cancergift Slowing down to appreciate the brownie, pie, scone, pizza, etc...

Delighted Bowie’s song brought to mind friends! The Mazda sounds just right for cool summer mornings. Your “slowing down” comment fetched Simon and Garfunkel from the corner of my mind:

Slow down, you’re movin’ too fast

You gotta make the morning last

Just kickin’ down the cobblestones

Lookin for fun and feeling groovy!

“Groovy” appeared in the lyrics many times. But that’s groovy too!

I’ll ponder the Barbra Streisand song for another time...

Gail: your post today embodied all the skills of your creator’s tool kit. And to this reader maybe some added sparkle?! So very glad your feeling much better. I’ll hold off on shipping the dark fudge iced walnut brownies. For a day or so. I think I hear a Muse’s voice pleading from a corner of your study. 😉

Thank you for your appreciation!

Nia sees room for -- cleaning up our triangle and being mindful with our penmanship. 🙃 Thalia wants that brownie! And Calliope is simply filled with joy.

Definitely no help on penmanship! I’ll conjure some Joy and get crackin’ on the brownies. And an Izzie biscuit for Henny!

T-shirt: “Sometimes before bed I like to fall asleep on the sofa. It’s my little sleep appetizer. My nappetizer.” 😁

And pizza is wonderful for breakfast, as many of us remember from our college years (or later). 😁

Ha! I’ve got to share the t-shirt with my mother-in-law who loves nappetizers! 😂

By week’s end most everything will taste okay again.

Only one more to go!!!

Those college years! As a fraternity member, the real piece de resistance was a partial keg of warm, flat beer the next morning and leftover pizza! Some less nobly just called it Hair of the Dog.

My daughter had to endure 3 years of nothing tasting good. She was on a low tyramine diet that whole time and had a list of food she couldn't eat a mile long and a very small list of foods she was allowed. Those 3 years were very difficult for all of us. But when they finally stopped her treatments her dad and I surprised her one night at work with a huge meal of foods she hadn't been allowed that whole time. She couldn't eat it all. She had lost soo much weight. But she's made up for it over the last 25 years. Now we are back on a diet again. We are losing but not as fast as she did then and this time the food tastes much better to her. Once your treatments are finished food will taste good again. Glad your garden is doing well. I found some kohlrabi and rhubarb in the farmers market again so we stocked up. The rhubarb didn't look great so I assume it is at the end of the season for it. I think I need to see if I can find it in the frozen food section. Hope you have a great day. We are in hurricane season done here and the storms are forming. Looks like we are going to get dumped on this week. Stay dry up there (but not dry enough to ruin the garden.)

I went to look up tyramine... there is a lot of information about what foods it's in and problems it can cause. So much scientific evidence!

Thanks for letting me know foods will taste good again. It's often good to hear positive comments from somebody who has experienced what I am going through. Thank you Margaret!

We didn't plant kohlrabi so I picked one up at the grocery yesterday... not for me (yuck!), for my husband who enjoys them.

Hope you are safe in the coming weather!
