“Good things come to those who wait.” “I prayed for patience and God said, ‘Wait’.” Silly punctuation! The former from summer Bible School. The latter from my time in the rooms of AA. You’d be right to guess I was impatient in the days of Bible School.
As the tea steeps, so do book ideas! And I think what’s going on now well matches your reading from Simple Abundance today about how feeling not well suited to a task is where assigned tasks begin? Can you imagine Stephen King dreading starting his next novel? Or Pablo Picasso hesitating to whip out a charcoal on paper sketch? Some of his best done in mere minutes!
You’re right where you are supposed to be! An admired leader of this community, surrounded by appreciative readers, and books already under your belt! You go girl!
Henny and I are back from a beautiful trail walk at one of our well maintained county parks. I think what's got me weeding and dodging is the blank slate... Oy! This book can take any form and my style is, ummm... eclectic. hahaha! I've read that setting limitations can be helpful when beginning a new project.

>> “she has triple negative breast cancer”
I feel like I missed something. (Or forgot it. I’m doing that more, lately.) That sounds like such a “no cancer!” diagnosis that I can’t even come up with a credible simile. But it’s good, right?
Oh! Thank you for your question. Perhaps I never explained "triple negative" here before.
It's amazing how fast something you once knew little to nothing about can become everyday vocabulary when it impacts your life.
A quick "Gail version" explanation. *Not responsible for any scientific/medical errors.* I'm a layperson. 😊
Breast cancer is categorized 4 ways:
Estrogen fueled
Progesterone fueled
HER2
Triple Negative
Estrogen and progesterone fueled are the most common. Cancer cells thrive and multiply on the hormone(s). Tumors are removed surgically and that is followed by chemo and radiation -- possibly hormone blockers, too. If the tumor is small enough and there is no spread to the lymph system, those lucky ladies might avoid chemo altogether.
HER2 is a cancer that's fueled by a protein. Treated with chemo, then surgery, then radiation.
Triple Negative means it is not one of the other three types. As best I know, they don't know what causes it. TN is aggressive, has potential to spread beyond the breast, and therefore is treated with the "big guns." Two chemo regimens followed by surgery and radiation.
I am delighted to be on the other side of chemo. I feel like the lumpectomy and radiation will be like a day at the park in comparison... and in truth, chemo was not nearly as bad as my mind had built it up to be.
It’s all good. At diagnosis, they ruled out e and p fueled right away. Then I had to wait while things processed in the lab for a while — HER2 negative finally came back.
For a day or so I thought about… just my luck, to have the “worst” kind. And then I let that go and switched my thoughts to… How can I make this “negative” into something “positive”.
I’m two weeks out from my last chemo and I can almost forget I even have cancer. 😂 Next week I go back for an immunotherapy only infusion. Surgery 8/30. We’re on the home stretch.

Oh dear. So TN is Not Good. Not even a little bit. 😢
{*{*{*hugs*}*}*} dear lady! Just because.
Thanks Jack. 🤗

CURE!
More like an undeserved anti-buddy!

Still praying for you Gail. Much love.
Thank you Pennie! I am feeling well, strong, and healthy. No doubt your support and prayers are a great help!
