On a lighter note:
On Monday, there was all this family back and forth drama between 3 Short Family households in 3 different states over a delayed flight. It was quite ridiculous in my opinion (and my opinion counts). I said, "This is whole lotta for naught!". I cannot believe I just read naught in your post. I have not heard that word in years.
Yuck. I, too, had hoped it would be different for you, Gail. 1) Thank you for sharing this journey with us. We are all here for you. 2) If you decide to go for a different look, I say be bold! Wild scarves. Bold earrings. Purple lipstick? Show this cancer you will not be intimidated!
I don't have cancer but after I was sick with Covid... Whether related or not I lost a lot of hair. It stopped coming out in handfuls but it's still very thin. It was saddening but I'm at a point in my life that I don't care what people think.
Thank you Margaret… I’m aware and so grateful. It’s only hair… and I haven’t been wrapped up in my appearance for many years. That said… having my hair fall out just feels wrong somehow.
Tomorrow my stylist is going to shave it off for me. Then I can move forward into acceptance.
CURE!! And certainly the chance to try on variations of Beautiful Crazy! I’m with Cal. Fun with lipstick colors (one shade for the upper lip; one the lower) and all manner of earrings. If eyebrows thin out, too, I can see the super wide & super dark ones, resembling wooly bear caterpillars, that so many other influencers favor. 🤔
I liked Luke Combs song, but had to wonder if you were goofing on us finding an artist whose surname is COMBS? Just one of the beautiful parts I’ll look forward to.
