Thalia held her stomach. Tears rolled down her cheeks. “It seems…,” she giggled, “… that Drawist forgot to give you arms Nia. Oops!” “Wouldn’t have happened if you’d just given us the day off,” Calliope mumbled into her coffee cup. “I’d rather show up armless than not show up at all. Yes… we’re messy sometimes and far from perfect.” Urania sat up straight. “Misspellings, missing dress dots, and missing arms. And we’re also reliable, dependable… filled with pluck and persistence.”
I had my "what-if I unplug" time last week visiting my sister, and it was so refreshing, I wish I could do it more often. Enjoy your unplugged day, Gail!
Interesting though, how our minds work, is a great place of inquiry and curiosity for me… 🧐🤔🧐
Urania’s armlessness gave rise to me remembering the following quote by Kurt Vonnegut who said, “When I write, ✍🏼 I feel like an armless, legless man with a crayon 🖍 in his mouth.” 👄
If I accumulated all my selection criteria for determining “necessity,” “importance,” and “urgency” their pages could rival The Encyclopedia Brittanica of my grade school years! Some are products of our circumstances while others seep out from our self perceptions and inner workings. (Picture elaborate geared clock works)

Hold on loosely indeed!
If you cling too tightly, you’re gonna lose control.

T-shirt: “I don’t really rise and shine. I caffeinate and hope for the best.” 😁
I saw Nia as standing with her arms behind her back and her head cocked. Looked totally natural. (Just sayin'.)
