Gail knows the travails I’ve gone through (and still going) just buying a new iPhone for Beth! I imagine AT&T phones are trained not to kiss🤷🏽 Any more detail would make a bad experience worse. Or hilarious for folks not jousting with their own provider!

One cautionary note: the new iPhone 14 Pro does not even have a SIM card. They use an “eSIM” which is not a physical thing. With our present phones, 13 and 10, they offered the illusion of control by just opening a cool door on the edge, an old card would pop out and, bing, in with the new. Only an illusion of control. To be continued...

Ahhh yes! SIM to eSIM is one problem I’m experiencing!!! New phone is rejecting old phone. Not a love match! 😂

Being an early adopter is no day at the beach!

That had me crying and laughing! I loved it Horizon... technology can stink sometimes. My newer I Mac won’t come on and I have been using my old MacBook Pro laptop instead. But iPhone to iPhone should work. I have done that 2 or 3 times myself. But you know what? We pay a ton of money if each month for our phones. Let them do it for you. ♥️

I successfully did the phone “kiss” last time, but that was years ago… iPhone 10.

This time the new phone isn’t accepting of the old one… and it seems to hinge on a data storage/memory issue.

I’ll search around the www to see if there’s a solution. If not, back to Horizon we’ll go. 👍🏻

Ugh! Preston was a great help at the store. Everything was going splendidly and then we got a spinning clock. It spun, and spun, and spun.

After a very long time, we decided the process might go faster on our home WiFi. It’s simple! A few instructions and I was on my way home.

Not so simple. Error messages. Memory storage snafu. SIM card to eSIM card failure. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Back to Horizon I’ll go.

After lots of time and multiple visits to Horizon yesterday, I think the transfer from old to new is complete.

Today I will bring Preston a small gift, GoSK??? When my husband and I left the store yesterday about 10 minutes before closing (with a working phone) my husband asked, “Who do you think is happier? You or Preston?” 😃

Whew!
