Daylight shrinks as autumn creeps.
Moonlight illuminates an after dinner leg stretch.
Thalia sings a song from the kid’s childhood. “Here’s the maaaaaaail — it nehhh-vrr — fails — c’mon Henny wag yooooooore tail —”
Nia flips through the retrieved. “That’s not how the song goes. What’s this?”
“It has to be for us…. look at that picture…” Even in the dark Cal detects a sweet treat. She flips the card over and, with aid from the post light, reads, “An end of summer watermelon popsicle — to SHARE with the muses.”
Nią peers over Cal’s shoulder. “Sent all the way from Germany — to melt our hearts.”
“Sometimes,” said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”

A note from Loveletterist:
I have a friend who is jumping into watercolor play. She took her paints with her on a trip to Berlin Germany. Can you believe she made time to send me a treat from across the sea?
How cool is that?
Yummy!
In other news... I picked some apples and pears from our trees yesterday. We don't spray, so the fruit is a bit marred... still delicious. Last night we enjoyed a pear-walnut torte for dessert. 😋

Gail, I am so happy that it made it to you! I had so much fun making and mailing them out each day I was in Berlin. I have never water colored in my life... well maybe as a kid. But I found a woman on Instagram that shows you step by step how to make art!
In Berlin I got to finally meet my son Macklin’s girlfriend whom he is going to marry! Jen is a wonderful person and with her I get her daughter, Lilo! I bought the paints as an ice breaker for her and I do to. We all did them! Such fun!
