Turn adversity to advantage! The Universe is friendly, but appreciates our participation from time to time. This reader is not surprised that you wrangled a good outcome out of this entanglement. As I suspect are many others. "So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, good night!"
‘Tis the whirlwind holiday season upon us! Had lunch with friends on Wednesday and we talked about gnomes… how you can now purchase them to coordinate with the holidays/seasons. 😊 I don’t have a single gnome! How about you and Deb?
I apologize for an absence without explanation… not sure how two days got away without a love letter. What I think I’m learning about — and leaning into — is dividing creative energy between boom and 3mm — exploring new ways of doing. 🎉
We have NOT invested in garden gnomes. Nor Christmas gnomes, winter gnomes, Thanksgiving gnomes, nor (not making this up) Halloween gnomes. Nor (new!) silhouette gnomes. Oy!
Then there are gargoyles! What’s not to love about them?! Our guardian of the garden, perched atop a garden wall. Our hot, humid stretches promote an ever thickening patina of lichens and multi-colored mold, adding to its appeal.
I find the menacing posture and expression of our gargoyle preferable to the more light hearted countenance of most gnomes. With Halloween approaching, I’ll attach LED tea candles to its back. Affording strange back lighting and furthering its menacing demeanor. To add atmosphere as we sit at our patio table for incantations...
“Thalia offered a perspective she’d never considered. Is it possible our readers are grateful for our silence? Is it true that absence makes a heart grow fonder?”
Yes, as long as the readers know what to expect as it relates to being MIA, all is well.
Otherwise, they might be concerned… We won’t say that some might even be worried, but it’s a realistic possibility.
Breakfast and dinner for whitetail 🦌 seems like a generous offering AND Yay for waivers!
Urania is probably being a touch harsh… “Rude” is reserved for intentional behavior… “Busy” is an overused word lacking any true description of behavior… However, “Immersed” is a word we can wrap our minds and feelings around.
For example; she was fully immersed in the process of creating a FOURTH book, she was fully immersed in the process of preparing her mind, body, and soul for breast cancer surgery, she was fully immersed in the process of vanquishing the invader, she was fully immersed in the process of making sure all of her T-shirt orders were fulfilled, she was fully immersed in the process of being one of the kindest human beings this reader has ever known!
I can only speak for myself directly, but I also feel equally compelled to speak for all who love you just as much as I do. I/we are grateful for YOU!
I do appreciate Urania’s boldness in speaking her mind. I almost always know where she stands.
Oooh! I love the framing of immersion because truly… Aren’t we all immersed in something? Reminds me of the prayer about not judging another until you’ve walked a mile in their moccasins.

Ha! I felt like I jumped over a personal hurdle with my calm reaction, call to my nurse navigator, and successful outcome. Delicious!
Tea towel: “I’m not a witch! I’m a Broom Fairy!” 😁
(Yes, the holiday catalogs are showing up. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Sometimes all in the same catalog. <sigh> 🙄 )

Well, some of us worry a little tiny bit. So the two-day break heads-up is greatly appreciated! 💚

I looked up silhouette gnomes. Cute little things. 😂 Still don’t want any.

I’d like to be a lizard in the wall! 😂
That could be arranged!
🙀
Boom?? The c book?
I somehow thought of "Boom boom. Out go the lights."
Ahhh yes! Book not boom. 😂

Enjoy your respite! 😊
“I told you it was rude,” Urania quipped. “Simply not showing up… two days in a row!”
“All shall be well,” Calliope soothed. “In the future we’ll make sure to drop a placeholder.”
Thalia’s bag was packed. She was ready to go. “How about a little John Denver on the radio?”
So blessed to have my nurse navigator Angel!!! And was relieved to watch myself handle the kerfuffle calmly. An experience!
