As AI burrows deeper into our online presence, such intrusions will multiply like fungus! My Safari use is limited due to my long term use of the Google browser. Now Microsoft is insisting I need to update to Windows 11. Searches on my laptop now default to Microsoft “Bing.”
Now, when I search for a recipe or product using Google, the “spontaneous suggestions” later for more and more are just so unwanted.
I’m delighted that you learned about the use of watercolors for creating a vibrant apple starting with under colors. Not the least delighted to hear the “cost.”
Hmmm... my awareness, acceptance, action protocol tells me: I choose to use the platform, I receive lots of inspiration there, I post things there, I have the awareness to skip on by what doesn't serve me. If getting a slew of art stuff that's pretty cool for a while is a "cost", it's one I'm willing to accept. 🤔
I use the explore feature often where I can find whatever suits my mood -- be it apples, motivational speakers, ladies getting their hair dos revamped. 😂
A note from LoveLetterist:
Henny got us up at 3:30. I took her out, then went back to bed.
Henny got us up at 4:38. I fed her.
Even though going back to bed jumped up and down crying "pick me!", I stayed up.
I lit candles, took pleasure in setting up the percolator, and drank my 16 ounces of water in peace and tranquility.
I did my usual perusal of my socials and found the reel of Danny painting an apple.
"Do it!" the muses cried.
Do you ever listen to your muses?
Gobsmacked!
If a one word reply is in the offering, I really like the one you chose! 🙌🏻
It brings to mind the artwork from The Very Hungry Caterpillar book by Eric Carle.
After reading your comment, I went upstairs and pulled the book from the kid's closet. You're right! The apples are reminiscent of each other. 🍎
:)
"Do you ever listen to your muses" you ask.
😡
MUSE: "What are you working on?"
ME: "Oh hi, I'm—"
MUSE: "Sorry, that made it seem like I care and I don't, you're working on This now."
ME: "No 'cause—"
MUSE: "Working on This now."
ME: "And that's fine but—"
MUSE: "WORKING. ON. THIS. NOW."
And I'm working on This now. 😐
Done! 😊
Back to—
MUSE: "Postscript!"
ME: "No no no I—"
MUSE: "Here's my finger wiggling next to your ear, next to your nose, tickling your eyebrows..."
Working on postscript now. 😐
Louise Foerster also has a take on this: https://medium.com/scribe/fever-dreams-scream-truths-d8c9c06a1ba2
"Sorry, that made it seem like I care and I don't, you're working on This now."
😂
My muses rarely talk directly to me. They just talk about me, to each other.
I was able to read Louise's opening poetry, but Medium cut me off when I reached:
"I’ve written about my muse.
As long as I work on my major work in progress, he doesn’t care what I do — in fact, he has no stake nor opinion in anything I do."
You know... I don't think I'm even getting my 3 free stories per month anymore. 🤔
Ah, yes, we’ll, Medium stopped the three free stories. It was confusing. Or something. 🙄 Just good ol’ #$@&! Medium...
Silly Medium!
LoveLetterist, I know you were hoping for a one-word response. 🤭
I just want to add that you saw/read of that technique on Instagram and owned it!
“If you want something done, ask a busy person.”
😁
Here is what I observe in myself:
It was great fun creating the Apple. Now, as IG is apt to do, I keep seeing Danny paint different things… pumpkins, pine cones, etc…
I do not feel moved to “hop to” making those. There is a connection between story and visual that I am drawn to.
Paying attention!
