“Whaaaaaaaaa-hooooo!” Thalia takes a bite from their model. “Still Life Apple might be our behhh-st watercolor so far!”
“Took patience.” Nia puts palms to Tal’s cheeks. “Proud of you.”
“Reminds me of… when we started writing…” Calliope pulls an apple pie from the fridge, “… and making our first crusts… and… well… just about everything we have gotten good at.”
“Practice, perseverance —”
“— ahhhhn-d a willingness to tr-eyyyyye new things!”
Details matter. They create depth, and depth creates authenticity.

A note from LoveLetterist:
Henny got us up at 3:30. I took her out, then went back to bed.
Henny got us up at 4:38. I fed her.
Even though going back to bed jumped up and down crying "pick me!", I stayed up.
I lit candles, took pleasure in setting up the percolator, and drank my 16 ounces of water in peace and tranquility.
I did my usual perusal of my socials and found the reel of Danny painting an apple.
"Do it!" the muses cried.
Do you ever listen to your muses?
Gobsmacked!
