What I have been shedding from my closet is a whole lotta advice that never fit me, along with purses full of rigid beliefs that blocked the zippers of “everything can be this — everything can be that” and “to everything there is a season.”
The sentimentals? I’m holding tight to many of those for now as they inform my values.
Good morning LoveLetterist/Artist/Creator! My funky glasses not withstanding, I felt pretty sure I wasn’t looking at an old school #2 Ticonderoga pencil. Is Tal practicing her javelin throw? About to launch a surface-to-air missile? Parental supervision may be required for the safety of all! 🚀
So “Writing is like cleaning a closet!”No wonder I have writer’s block. It really is the sentimental gadgets that need to go first. Yet they are like the silky threads of a Golden Orb Spider’s web that provide connections with past memories. Would undoing of same cause harm? Or would I merely feel lighter? 🤔
What if I started with our Dust Buster and vacuumed the back of the closet door? The accumulated dust may explain my over abundance of brain floaters. 😉
Thanks for both quotes that promote the value of writing. Perhaps Miley Cyrus’s album, “Sledge Hammer,” shows a strategy for my writer’s block!
