Nia pulls an old notebook from a top shelf.
Thalia reaches for watercolors and a fresh postcard.
Calliope opens the notebook and finds… gold. “Look at what we wrote… And look how far we’ve come!”
We get wise by asking questions, and even if these are not answered, we get wise, for a well-packed question carries its answer on its back as a snail carries its shell.
~James Stephens
By perseverance the snail reached the ark.
~Charles Spurgeon
A note from LoveLetterist:
A while back I watched a video in which the speaker pointed out that, "Writing and drawing move thoughts from the intangible into a direction of action."
(Apologies... I have no idea of the source.)
The notebook page Calliope references is not dated.
I recognize it as several or more years old.
A group of friends and I wrote out (and shared) a paragraph envisioning our next 5-10 years.
We also made note of our top 5 core values.
My vision centered on the type of person I wanted to become.
My paragraph centered on my character, not external rewards.
I
have
to
say...
life is serving up experiences
for me to grow
into that person.
How cool is that?
"Character is power." ~Booker T. Washington
