Hmmm…book coach? Interesting. I was thinking you have written and published 3 books. You could be a book coach! My perspective—for what it is worth. ♥️
I wouldn't call her a "book coach" — she bills herself as an editor — but I have been using Roz Warren (rosalindwarren.medium.com) for a couple years now. She (inadvertently) talked me out of rewriting a short story I was trying to rework ("You haven't done anything to make the reader care about your characters." Well... huh, y'know, I'm the *writer* and I don't care about these characters, maybe they're just miserable jerks and the less time spent on them the better) and talked me into turning a series of short stories into a novel (first draft got shot down in flames, but her reasons were all good, so draft #2 in progress). So I guess you could call her a book coach, and I would recommend her.
However! Your books are not like what I write. From what I've observed, your power in your writing comes from your self-confidence and belief system; having someone pummel you with questions might destroy that. Keep doing what you're doing!
Editor… I definitely need an editor and used one for the first three books.
I’m not sure because I didn’t reach out, but I infer a book coach acts as a guide and encourager so that you actually complete the book?
This morning I read an explanation of Rumplestiltskin (sp). The writer said that the little guy was really the girl’s subconscious weaving straw into gold. 🤷♀️ I think reading that before seeing the “coach” influenced my thinking. Do we all have what we need inside of us?
Wow! Your post almost has the feel of a gender reveal! I say that with all due respect. I first learned of you on Medium, as with Gail. While I departed there about 3 ya, I continue getting email notices of new followers... of me?! 🤷🏽
Have you written other books? My peek @ Google showed all manner of information concerning your Medium works. I expected a Wiki reference but saw none? Some days I’m certain I have nothing to say. You appear to have few of them. Hurrah to writers!
I will probably go the self-published path myself, having seen the effort required to break into real publishing 😱 but I want what I put out there to be the best I can make it. 🤞
Wise wisdom! Hmmm... is there such a thing? Wise just the same. This reminds me of the Dr. Seuss remark, "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" Perhaps "Too many cooks spoil the broth?"
After all, this is not your first rodeo, or book for that matter. Incremental learning is the payoff for plugging away at skill acquisition. I used to think perfection was an overnight thing! And felt frustratred if that didn't happen, thus often abandoning whatever the skill.
You provide a living example of living out loud, in the present moment. You seem to model that river quote: "It's not the same river and it's not the same (wo)man." I can't wait to see how this all plays out, both the book and the ongoing living out loud!

Ha! I almost think the Universe is tossing distractions at me on purpose. Wait! What if the universe is tossing distractions at all of us??? 🤷♀️
Exactamente!

You are writing a novel! 🎉 Go Jack!

Interesting to think about!

Short answer is YES!
Jack! Came across this as I’m looking for Book 4 material.
:)
I’d forgotten you are working on a novel! 🎉

You can find 96% of everything I’ve written and posted/published on Medium, Gary; the remainder would be reviews all over everywhere. My wife has two kids books, self-published, on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Caitlyns-Adventure-Debra-Tanguy-Herlocker/dp/1456351494/ref=sr_1_1

If our “weirdness” is our strength, I believe I've found mine. 😂 It feels marvelous.
Courage to change the things you can?
Wisdom to know the difference?
A kick in the butt if you need it?
I’m well versed in each area…
