I believe we do. Granted, directing our thoughts elsewhere isn't going to change how things really are in the world but it will help us to enjoy the moment in our own lives instead of worrying all the time.

Great points Pennie! A fellow writer once asked, “What if you aren’t here to change the world? What if the world is here to change you?”

I’ve taken that to heart!

I’ve been polishing my oppositional personality traits just now. 🙃. How about R.U.S.T. and not T.R.U.S.T.? Something about the word Total feels absolutist? I say this not to be a contrarian, but to explore Agency. In my early days of recovery from alcoholism, I heard “Turn it over to your higher power.” And in the same sobering up process, Working The Twelve Steps was of paramount importance. As agents of our step work, lots of personal effort was required. As for outcomes and timing, yes, that can be seen as Spiritual in nature.

To wrap back around, I personally believe we ourselves bear responsibility to act. To act in our own best interests. We can invite in our spiritual force as we have chosen for our lives. For inspiration? For fortitude to act? For setting proper goals for our efforts.

Kinda like the Muses sharing colors once in a while?

If I heard you correctly… We are responsible for putting in effort. In my case, writing, writing, writing and drawing, painting, and trying to figure out how to scan my image into a PDF. 😂

Spiritual timing is outcome related?

In other words, one cannot simply consume the work of others and hope that spiritual energy will turn them into the next Ansel Adams, Shakespeare, or Patsy Cline?

Have I heard you correctly?

Yes! Much more clearly than I expressed myself.

I purchased a 99 cent clearance plaque today when I picked up watercolor markers. It reads: CREATE SOMETHING EVERYDAY

Spoke right to me!

Spiritual timing? That’s not an attempt at humor... I’d be hard pressed to have engraved a better plaque for you. Clearance smearance!

How often can you purchase something for 99 cents these days. 😂

I love the looks of your Columbine blossoms. How is their scent?

Ha! Maybe somebody could add that math joke to a pair of socks! 🤗

No scent at all! The blooming peonies though…. Fragrant!

Years ago I met a PhD candidate in the FSU math department. I asked about his dissertation topic. He replied, “Establishing whether “0” has a positive or negative value. Like +8 vs -3. You must have met that guy somewhere.

“T.R.U.S.T

Total Reliance Upon Spiritual Timing

What do you think of that?

Do we have the power to direct our thoughts and thought patterns away from fear and worry… towards love, learning, and growth?”

I love everything about this and the entire post! The columbine pic is simply stunning 🤩. The girls are coming into their own, and so are You!

Thank you Bobby!

One day, one creative act at a time, we grow. :)

We have the power to change any thought. We can delete and add at will. Choose joy, love, growth or fear, worry. I will check out Clare Cunningham. Thank!

Coincidentally… I had a discussion with the kid today about “who controls our thoughts.” He was stuck in a negative loop and felt powerless to shift it. I’ve been there many times myself. Practice, practice, practice!

Not sure if what I shared with him helped… it almost seemed to frustrate him more. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve been there, too! 😂

I have been there with my boys many times…and with myself too.
