I always love the concepts and the quotes to bring to my world each day. Often, I've limited "space" for them sometimes I do. My theme for the day is to simply "be" the space. The image of the ever expanding universe as the model for my own particular "be" ing seems well, effortless.

Thank you all for your "likes". In re-reading my comment I was uncertain that it conveyed what I was/am sensing and trying to say. This is a sort of "ah hah" thing for me that the space for being is boundless or " "beyond" (a favorite word) the limitations of our "thought". The spaciousness not only exists but is ever-opening for each of us as we "be" in it. This may be a blinding flash of the obvious that somehow just found me today. So be it.

Easy is better?

I don't know if either word is appropriate for my sense of things. Better implies comparison. Easy implies not hard as a comparison. There is a place that "is". "Be"ing is in that place. I sense that it happens all the time all around us in every moment.

“Our job is to create the void, to dig the well, to create emptiness so that the light of the world can pour in and through us.”

~Rolf Gates

If we can muster the courage to embrace the silence and empty our cups, will we also have the patience to capture what the light of the world offers?

Or, will we engage in frivolous activities to alter our reality and even go so far as to manipulate time in an effort to extract more from a a day that can only ever hold 24 earth hours?

Are we a drop in the ocean or the ocean in a drop?

The poet Rumi reminds us, “You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop.”

“For any of us to make peace with and respect the individuality of the others is not possible if we do not accept and make peace with our own individuality … and our individual struggles and triumphs.” ~Noah benShea, Michael’s House Blog

I can’t wait to see what ends up in the “gum ball” machine! 😉

I appreciate the quote from Noah benShea very much.

What I continue to learn is that my "freedom" is contingent upon allowing others to be free as well -- trust and faith in a higher power sure takes the pressure off. Whew!

I’m fascinated by Tal’s long, drawn-out woorrrds! How many repeated vowels is adequate? Excessive? Insufficient?? Indeterminate? Not unlike how we create our own vessel-voids and how and with what we seek to fill them. Do salted cocktail peanuts work? At a glance, little rounded reptiles shedding their paper thin skins. But the treat is in the eating, not the seeing. Never judge a book...

On a bad day I’m apt to try to fill my void with cocktail peanut skins. A little discernment goes a long way! Not unlike the vowel counts in Tal’s Ex-claa-maaa-shuns, it’s our heart-of-hearts, our inner “ears” that help with our choices.

Long ago as I worked to get traction for becoming sober, a simple event served as an a-ha moment. “God doesn’t shout. We must quiet ourselves to hear the lesson.” Surprising as it may seem to some 🙄, I’m quite a bit quieter these days. 🙂

T-shirt: “Why do we continue to run dangerous tests on lab animals when there are people out there who are rude to waiters?” 😁

Suggestion: go with unsalted peanuts. Otherwise the salt gets into the works and causes corrosion. (Ignore if the machine is made from aluminum.) Also, just plain M&Ms? Or some of the many varieties out there? Of which I was unaware until I heard two radio DJs talking about their favorite M&Ms; I looked at Deb like, "Say WHAT?" and she said, "Yes, Jackster, there are Rice Krispy M&Ms and peanut butter M&Ms now. Welcome to the 21st Century!" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
