Very smart move, the commercial pies. Not so flaky? I remember your striving for tender, flaky crusts. I didn’t make my crusts. The Pillsbury dough boy stood tall in his service for the feast. 😊

I rarely use cardamom in my baking. I suspect that may have been part of the draw for the chai pie. The extra cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg didn’t hurt.

What pie did you make?

Yes. Yes! “Whip until stiff peaks (tufts) form. Do not over whip.” My saying that to you could be taken as an insult! It just tumbled out of the part of my brain that stores images of cookbook pages. Still working on the ingredient quantities... 😊
