I looked up Mike Dooley -- "Thoughts become things." "TUT--a philosophical club for understanding and living the adventure of life."
hahaha! I'm working on this recording business. Might be helpful to jot a few notes to follow instead of winging it? 😂
Yes... none of us get out alive and honestly, there's some solace in that. Have you read Tuck Everlasting? Would you want to live forever?
That said, I felt like right before diagnosis, I was getting to a really exciting part in this life of Gail. I'm delighted to believe that I get to find out what's coming next!
I love everything about this post!!! The finish line on this chapter is so close. I cannot wait to see all the amazing things the next one holds. I am certain it will be filled with adventures, health, creativity, inspiration, and abundance! The little c is eviction process is nearly completed. It went from the BIG C to the little c and soon to be the vanishing ___.

Is it weird that my favorite part of your audio was you geeking out over the tech in your procedure? 🤓
So in addition to the radioactive seed, they used two air-pressurized syringes (no needles! -- that sounded like the opening of a shaken soda or beer can -- pshhhhhhhh! -- radiologist's description) to force nuclear medicine/dye below the first layer of skin. This apparently travels to the lymph system and makes the sentinel lymph nodes "hot" so they know which ones to take. Whoa!
I was told that many advancements have been made in the last 10-20 years. 20 years ago, I likely would have had a mastectomy with all lymph nodes on that side removed. I am now in awe of a medical system I once had much fear of...
Fascinating techniques! Were the harvested lymph nodes achieved by minimally invasive procedures? Versus long incisions? The pshhhh syringe technique I find fascinating. We’re you “off in la-la land” thru everything? I’d imagine so. You sound absolutely grand, and your grey matter is emitting showers of word-sparks! 🎇
I was awake for the radioactive seed and pshhhhh experience. I watched a house remodel on HGTV while waiting for la-la land. I had a deep sleep, and then got to go home. 👍🏻
And here you are, ready to launch a new day! I’m curious about what effect, if any, completing this recent step has had on your “c book?” I can imagine a mixture of gratitude for the medical team, relief from having that behind you now, and a reinvigorated sense of purpose and possibilities might suggest different chapters and affect the tone of your writing? Being in “this moment” now could feel like too many cups of coffee! 😉
Yoga? Walk Henrietta? Paddle board? (Likely to require healing to avoid exposure to bacteria from the water) A visit to market? Fall apples for fritters? Sketches for your book?
Such good news, Gail!! Just spectacular. To be at this place in your journey must feel so good and I'm sharing your amazement and gratitude for the technology and kindness that's supporting your health and healing. We live in remarkable times and you are a remarkable person. Thank you for your warm sharing--it's so affirming to listen to your sweet voice.
I love your message and the excitement in your voice re the technology. But so much else to be excited about too!! 🙌🥰
I am truly amazed at how different life can feel/be when we choose our inputs, perspectives, and actions with care and an eye toward possibility. 💜
I recently saw a social media post: I'm not anti-social. I'm anti-negativity, anti-gossip, and anti-drama. 😄
Ahhh! Perfection! How does it feel? It sounded wonderful. An overnight success! Only 10 takes. 🎬🎙🎬 Sure beats 10K hours!
In all sincerity, absolutely, wonderfully, fantastic! A Successful “Simple Lumpectomy” and lymph node resection!
The irony of “Simple Lumpectomy” is upon me…
Nothing simple about it, but it sure beats anything “radical” as it relates to breast cancer surgery… Outpatient! Who knew?? Wow 🤩!
They’re having a party in heaven right now… They are celebrating the “Delay” of your trip!
I say delay because let’s be honest, none of us are getting out of this thing alive! 😂🤣😂
However, when you have a huge gift to share, and a message of hope AND inspiration for the world, allowances are made and extensions are granted!
WooHoo 🎉

My best Mike Dooley impression! 😉✍🏼😊

I've been able to make the progression with a lot of help from my friends! ❤️

💚💚💚 & {*{*{*hugs*}*}*} dear lady!
But wait... there's more.

Two incisions — both 1-2 inches long.

That should hold you till tomorrow!
There’s nothing like hearing the joy and giddiness in your voice. We are all dancing around with you! 😘❤️
There is a feeling of… “I’ve done something I never thought I could do” about the c experience. Giddy is a good description of how I feel! 😃

Thank you Mary Ellen!
Yes! It feels amazing to have come through chemo and surgery feeling stronger than when I began. 😊
I’m grateful for the supportive people and resources that have helped me turn c into a positive experience.
You're back! And sounding well! And thinking positively! (No surprise there.) Hallelujah, Gail!
😊
That's great to hear.
My first thought upon seeing the lovely sculpture was of Tal hitching a ride on an Orca! I think that would suit her perfectly!
Haha! I also thought of Thalia upon seeing the sculpture.
Wonderful news!!!
