“Whether ‘tis nobler…”. But I digress. Your remark on links puzzled me. I read it as your not caring for the writing of others containing links? For this reader I prefer the links you insert near the end of your posts. Easy-Peasy way for me to immediately (Internet speeds may vary) experience the reading or song or quote and thus see why you offered it with your writing.
As for the dynamic trio, bedraggled comes to mind from the impact of “barkhowlbarkbarkbark” on their start to the day. Using bedraggled is a stretch of the original definition - to soil or wet by dragging in dirt or mud or being rained upon - where frazzled may have been closer and less archaic. Before I searched for the definition, my meandering mind wondered if the pronunciation may once have been - bed raggled! Well, of course not, but somehow fitting for sufferers of a restless night.
The attitude adjustments made by the muses was a great illustration of choosing to stay stuck or move forward. Last, magical math? The abacus emoji struck me as very old, but very real math. I often read that parents today think magical math is what their children are being taught!
You know how we can intersperse replies on our e-mail conversations? I wonder if that is a feature Substack is considering for the future. I long bodies of text, weaving a conversation together feels… better! 😊

The links… Yes! When I read a body of work that is sprinkled with links to this, that, and the other, I find my brain hitches in the colored text. Sometimes I end up pulled away in a course of different direction and lose the thread if the original article!
Links at the end are more favorable… gentler? As I feel I can go ‘in search of’ if so inclined.
Thanks for your thoughts and helping me to clarify for other readers.
Bed-raggled! Thalia is holding on to that one. 😉
The abacus came up when I searched “math” in the emojis. It simply felt like a delicious choice. 🍦
Hi Jack! To date I've been inserting links when it "feels right". Today there was the song, Flourishing Fictions, Miss Frizzle... It felt like a lot to me and therefore I wanted to seek input from my friends!

Yum! 😁
I like imbedded links as options; I don’t feel pressure to click through (usually).

I'll stick to what feels right. 😉
