I think there was a reality TV show that did that- took all the furniture out of the room, and then brought it back in a completely new arrangement. I would love to hire someone to do that for my living room. Maybe that will be your next act, Gail.

Ha! That’s my middle act experiencing a reprisal. This week has been a flurry of prep for out of town guests. Yesterday I turned the spare into a cozy and inviting nook again… for years it stood empty because N took the bed to college. The room became a catch-all.

It’s been fun.

Happy 4th!

I like the old-fashioned curl-up-with-a-book chair drawing! 💚

Thanks Jack!

We actually have two chairs kinda like that. Old and very lived in (two dogs now have found them perfectly comfortable!) they hold me perfectly for reading and sometimes writing. I can’t image finding ones I’d like more. I’d get them reupholstered if it didn’t cost more than buying new chairs. 🤷‍♀️

That Thalia! Dropping the unnecessary, but adding some essential ones. 🙃

I read recently that the English word for Feng Shui is “paddle boarding.” 😬

B. F. Skinner was an important force in psychology concerning learning theories and principles. Stimulus/Response. Somehow today’s quote from him renders a softer version of him than I knew. Grateful.

Now to find a well-suited housetop!

Ha! That (adds some essential ones) would have been a great addition to the opening paragraph! 😁

Haven’t been out on the board since… Thursday. :( Hopefully after the 4th. I’m not going near a lake until after then… too peopley with motors this weekend.

I had an interest in Skinner for awhile. I cannot recall what article/attributes drew me to him.

I find almost everyone has something interesting to offer!

The above quote by Typist could only come from someone who understands the idea that Whitman so eloquently expressed with four beautiful words.

“Be curious, not judgmental.”

It’s taken me a while… to be open. I am living proof that it is possible! 😂
