“Such a yummy mix of words!” Thalia reads the first sentence from Tuck Everlasting. “The first week of Auuuuh-gust hangs at the very top of summer, the t-ohhhhp of the live-long year —” Cal jumps in the line. “… like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning.”
A third quote from Shane Parrish to round out a trifecta:
"Focus is the cost of excellence."
There's an impish wink in this post for one among you who once told me Tuck Everlasting's first sentence, "Sounds like writing," after I told you how much I love it. It has taken me a long time to learn that there's room enough in this world for both of our opinions! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play with that!
Last night I watched an amazing webinar put on by Vihn Giang.
He's been consciously working on his communication skills for over 10 years. It shows! I'm inspired.
And tonight... I'm going to see Lindsey Stirling perform at the grandstand of the Wisconsin State Fair. I am attracted to her story of perseverance as much as I am to her music.
I forget how I ran across Lindsey Stirling (Apple Music?) but I enjoyed her music before I learned she is also a dancer. Her videos are fun, but I still just put on Apple Music’s “Essential Lindsey Sterling” playlist when I want something fun to listen to.
Today’s Loveletterist Post “takes the cake!” As the old expression goes. I began with the green tomato in the upper right, almost smelling the fried green tomatoes. Not everyone’s cup of tea... but who makes tea with tomatoes in the first place. 🤷🏽
What followed was your rich connectication of blossoms and berries and thises and thats. I always hoped the ride would stop when I was in the top position! Looking out over the fairgrounds and surroundings.
Confession: I’ve never seen or read Tuck Everlasting. I possibly have lead a sheltered life...
Harry Belafonte’s music seemed to come out of nowhere, but has stayed with me. “Nia’s pupils sparkle and her smile calypsos.” How sweet it is indeed!
How much coffee did you sip in the process of composing this post? Espresso? Double cappuccinos? Just from this followers perspective, you are alight with creative endeavors!
Tuck is one of the most impactful books I ever read — in one sitting! We were “up north” on a rare and valued beautiful summer day. Funny how I can remember that?!
It poses the question: Would you want to live forever?
Thank you for your appreciation! As the muses promised in their gift to me years ago, it seems we never run out of opportunity to share stories. 😁

We can always "become" if we are willing to put in the effort.

She rocked it and shared a number of valuable insights that are now a part of me! How cool is that?
Love the ferris wheel! Great concept! 💚
TY… This collating with actual real life materials has me looking at the ordinary in new ways. How fun!
