What can I do to enhance the possibility of experiencing the pleasure that comes from patting others on the back rather than cutting them up in an organizational knife fight?
Anyway, his brain also has an uncanny ability to recall supporting ideas that align with titles or prompts, like paradox for example.
He has the little coffee table book that aligns with this clip. And, he believes the moment we take full responsibility, is the same moment we reclaim our inherent power to do, be, or become, whatever we choose… Enjoy the clip!
Hi LoveLetterist! A quick note: we non-Instagrammarians are limited for access to such stories. In the past I got one chance to view then, upon returning, was told - in effect - get with the program. Not so this morning.
Regarding taking full responsibility for our lives, I realized that the answer can be nuanced. In my instance with age related creaky joints and grouchy muscles, I’ve been learning to ask for help. At a grocery checkout: “Please split up the half gallons of liquids into several bags.” At home I’ve found it much easier to ask Beth for a hand, too. All of those new approaches diverge from past years. Another instance beyond physical help pertains to mental well being. I’ve been learning about the value of virtual communities online. Some connections like 3musesmerge are daily. 😊 Some occur less often but I look forward to the day of the week when certain writers appear on SubStack. Reliably!
My implicit question is if such doings, from your vantage point, constitute full responsibility?
Do our answers always have nuance? To everything there is a season?
From my vantage point, yes, your doings demonstrate taking personal responsibility for your circumstances. You are aware of your limitations, asking for help where you need it, and making choices to grow and evolve rather than to ruminate and stay stuck. You did not touch on boundary setting -- I have found that skill to be valuable in being responsible for my life. Something like: You can't be mad a people for sucking the life out of you if you keep giving them the straw.
Tepsi- I have felt the same way when I see balloons on the beach. Washed up from the ocean. It makes me sad.
