Playing off yesterday’s photography exploration — connecting unexpected visual elements — Thalia pours sparkling water over anchoring rocks she snagged from a flower vase.
Do you find these hidden logo messages as fascinating as I do? Brilliant use of negative spaces! Many of the "revelations" surprised me! How have I looked at the images for many years and not seen what was hiding in plain sight?
And I’m reminded of an era when “subliminal” messaging was a buzz! Some purported that in movie theaters, when my tickets cost 25 cents, messages by vendors (Coke) would flash on the screen very briefly. So briefly that we didn’t “see” them, but they still registered on our retinas and went to our brains. Then we went to the concession stand! 🤭
I was like Gary, I thought the drink was drinkable! Maybe because I have seen “ice rocks” advertised? (Just what they sound like — put them in the freezer, get cold, use them in a drink. Won’t work as well as ice, of course, there’s no boost from a phase change.)
Today, Loveletterist, I was reminded of a valuable lesson: “Read the entire post before drawing conclusions or forming opinions! At first glance, your image seemed to have odd pieces of fruit and fruit segments in the mug.
ROCKS.
Cal’s tone about drinking suspect concoctions clarified that this wasn’t an exotic mineral water creation. To be enjoyed at any time.
Nia’s slimy hands??? Lime wedges are not slimy. At least not this beauty! Pebbles from a flower vase? Perhaps a few flower stems were past their prime when removed? Sparkling water better not be slimy! Was Nia squeezing off that outer goo for an image tomorrow taken through the lenses of a microscope? 😱
I like that George Washington Carver’s quote mentioned “uncommon ways” to illustrate the methods for today’s masterpiece. 😊

I enjoyed that visual journey!

Slowly ascending from the rabbit hole. 😊

What we see is not always what is there?
“No boost from a phase change.” Oh! We like that that! We like the feel of transition and growth here at 3mm. 😁

😂
Sometimes when I go back to read older letters I feel like I need a decoder ring myself!
Any brand of decoder ring you’d recommend? 😊
Your guess is as good as mine. ⭐️
I think such rings used to appear in Cracker Jacks boxes. Sigh... More “back in the day” reverie.
I loved Cracker Jacks! Haven’t had them in years.
