I'm a cashew, almond, Brazil nut, macadamia pistachio, sunflower, and/or pecan fan. I don't know if it was the excess of walnuts as a kid or the actual manual cracking I had to do or the taste or what, I'd be fine never having another walnut.

When I had the snack business I ordered fresh walnuts from a grower in California. They were delicious. I remember being surprised by the number of walnut varieties that exist. Having only purchased nuts from the grocery prior, I just thought a walnut was a walnut was a walnut.

I planted two walnut trees decades ago. I learned the hard way that removing hulls while still green was not the way! Our wet Florida climate in my mind raised the risk of mold/spoilage. I wore thick leather gloves and in time felt my hands tingling. To the chase: they were very red, like a boiled lobster, and the following morning I had the skin of a newborn on both hands. Extreme tenderness to match. 😳

I suppose "nuttin' comes from nuttin'" would have not worked in the Sound of Music. I gasp to imagine that coming out of Julie Andrews' mouth! As it's obvious your four are up and nicking and wording, I'll wish happy rides with Albert! Chains for your bike tires?

Do the muses raise questions for you Jack... without them asking questions directly?

I often find when I read stories, I use them as a mirror for my own life.

Does this fit with my values? My experience? Why or why not? Is it possible I can see the world (or myself) differently now that I've add a new perspective?

I recently read Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. I was able to draw some parallels between the protagonist's life and my own. I liked how she took some steps toward growth and because of one particular dance "scene" -- find myself dancing around the house more often.

Wonder-full!

Do you have a sense that that’s what the muses are attempting to make space for?
