Inclination AND Emergence

Does the caterpillar 🐛 have an inclination to become a butterfly? 🦋

What about humans? I wonder what might emerge if we embraced our imaginal cells? What’s dormant? What’s been waiting it’s whole life to emerge? Adolescence, middleescence, then what?

40 hours of TV per week? Golf? Cribbage? Cards?

Or?

Hiking, Gardening, Travel, Adventure, Writing, Art, Paddle boarding, Pickle Ball, Tennis, Scuba, Canoeing 🛶, etc...

Or?

Sharing Wisdom?

What if?

What if our goal was to live well and WE, each of us were deciding what that means individually, not from a static position, but as preferences and inclinations emerged, inspired by awakening imaginal cells?

I really appreciated the article on imaginal cells. 🦋

George Carlin: “Why are you IN a movie, but you’re ON TV?” 😁

TBH, I thought the leaf was a real leaf that you added, Gail. Took me a few blinks before I resolved it.

Thank you for letting me know. 😊

It’s a very good leaf!

Yes, Jack. I had that very same reaction. Perhaps that stems from our “advanced vision?” That of age but not necessarily of LASIK procedures...

On your closing line today, a former boss used to profess his skill in allowing others to have his opinion! He was a good “salesman.”

How fortuitous that Katie/Wild At Art’s email today is offering a 4-week course in watercolor painting! Do you think I... Ha-ha! Silly of me. Though I fully enjoy your painting and arting journey.

I like how Tal called out your leaf rendering! It jumped off the page at me. If Tal were calling out my failed fruit floundering, I’d quickly decide that skill will ever escape my trying. Then stop trying. (TubThumping plays on the studio’s speakers)

Pythagoras’ exhortation, “Man know thyself; then you shall know the Universe and God,” made me smile. In AA’s Big Book, God is defined as “the great mystery deep inside each and every one of us.” In another part, a Native American definition of “God” is cited, “That which cannot be understood.” I’m more in line with these non-Pythagorean ideas. As a recovered alcoholic that should not be a great mystery! 🤔

Am I sympatico with the Pythagorean Theorem of triangles? As one who loved geometry and spent years in construction, a resounding YES!

All kinds of kinds. 😁

I almost added something from the AA big book that you have shared with me. After some discussion, the muses opted to leave it out feeling in some ways it was contrary to today’s conversation. We TRY to confuse as little as possible. 😂

Believing what we believe, and providing logical explanations for how or what we believe, can resemble taking a walk in quicksand! 🙃

Haha! I recently heard somebody propose that a mutual acquaintance is not a logical thinker. This perplexed me because I follow the person’s logic with seeming ease. 🤷‍♀️
