A note from Loveletterist:

Would love to hear about something (a skill? a project? something else?) you are taking steps to build in today's comments! Over on Instagram, one of my friends took a step toward learning how to ride a bike. 🚲 How cool is that?

The video challenge marches on! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwiY_qEtUCD/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng%3D%3D

And this morning my friend Elaine and I shared a community conversation about paying attention. My curiosity around sunflowers spiked and led to some of the links in today's letter (quote & Ted Lasso).

You can listen to the replay here (require mobile Clubhouse app):

We'd love to have you join us next Wednesday! If interested you can join the Mind of Curiosity house and/or send me an email asking me to add you to the room's Curiosity Crew email list.

Reading your LoveLetter prompted this visualization of someone beginning to start a fire! Using dried grass or wood chips and a small spark struck with flint and steel, helped along by gentle puffs of air, until a flame appears. Then carefully adding the unburnt material into the flame, still gently exhaling.

Of course this is just a metaphor alluding to your intentions, your diligent efforts, and your creative use of available materials to build your messaging. And unlike the aspiring influencers today, who proudly exhibit follower counts and views, your goals have involved growing yourself, triumphing over timidity, and finding a style of self-expression that carries your message to the Universe.

My skill, sort of a collaboration, can be supplying the shavings, using one of several manual wood planes and the wood of your choice! A properly sharpened plane can produce wonderful, curly chips almost effortlessly! Now taking orders. 😊

I feel the puffs!

Yesterday I was offered a suggestions as to how I might re-invigorated some of the stories I wrote over on Medium. (Thanks Jack!)

And the video challenge has become a new highlight in my day.

And! I'm trying out some face yoga. 😂

Thank you for your metaphor. 💜💚❤️ And your appreciation.

What a joy life becomes when we work toward the best versions of ourselves.

I like the use of “nectar” to describe the contents of this and every love letter. “Tupelo Honey” by Van Morrison comes to mind. 🤔

Your selection of this particular Ted Lasso clip was a sublime choice. I heard “you” in the docent’s comments on Van Gogh. Don McLean’s “Starry, starry night,” provides some icing on this love letter today as well.

Ted’s expression of gratitude was delightful, Gail. “Well done”, said the nearly deaf, color-blind guy. 🙏🏽

"nectar" started out as "blood" 🤣 After a few moments of reflection, I changed it.

Isn't that clip sweeter than hummingbird food! I'm so grateful for the person who called my attention to it.

Mercy buckets!

Ted Lasso, being on Netflix, lies outside my streaming universe. In today’s clip I sensed the character as being a salt of the Earth type, genuine and alive. Not out to impress others, just to be himself. Clearly not “Influencer” material. 😁

Ahhhh! And yet Ted’s ripples are being felt across the planet. 😁 One of the best shows I have ever watched!

Apple TV, not Netflix. 👍🏻 If so inspired, you could subscribe for one month and view all three seasons!
