“Fiction!” Thalia’s voice stamped its foot. “The librarians don’t think we’re real? Isn’t our book supposed to be in the section of the library that uses the Dewey Decimal System?”
“Huh… Fiction.” Calliope smiled at Typist’s name on the library shelf.
“Whatever works. WE know we’re as real as the nose on Typist’s face, let others believe what suits them.” Urania combed through Readist’s file of book-notes. “Here… Ian Leslie quoted philosopher Richard Rorty in his book Curious. ‘Fiction is a superior tool to reason when it comes to bringing people together.’”
“Well then…” Thalia twirled, “…fiction it is!”
Words from Typist:
“That’s a wrap!” As directors used to declare during filming of scenes. Since you provide much more than your voice on 3mm blog posts, may we call them “mind bites?” 🙃 Today’s result, to me, was short and sweet. To the point. Economy of utterance!
The four of you must know you hit a home run! Saying so, the World Series will be here before we know it! That title always tickles me. World Series! 🎉 I don’t recall ever hearing “World Series of Soccer” (actually called football in Europe, futball in Spanish speaking regions). The World Series of Rugby! Never heard it.
“Baseball - For All The Marbles - Championship.” Perhaps slightly confusing... But “MAKE-BELIEVE” was anything but confusing. Go Boenning-Muses! For all the marbles!
Sign: “NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PUSH THE ENVELOPE, IT’LL STILL BE STATIONERY” 😁
I gotta say, seeing your books on a library shelf is pretty cool... 💚
