A note from LoveLetterist:

The neighborhood ghosts & goblins, princesses & pumpkins will be out working it for treats under tonight's full moon.

How fun is that?

The coordination could simply not be better! Does the activity allow for adults w/o young’ uns to ply a trick or two? And Henny is going as... ?

I was remembering Henny's first Halloween with a smile this morning. I bought her a prisoner costume. 😂 It was so appropriate at the time... my little prankster under lock and key.

Maybe this year she should have wings. On this morning's untethered walk, my girl was really challenged to curb her enthusiasm. Listening to direction was... a challenge. The good news is she's outgrown the black and white stripes!

Not sure if we'll go out. Hoping to have a few brave kids make the long trek up our drive.

You well know that I clicked “you have an invitation” below your very magical looking crow. Then I had a Neil Young moment! (Along with The Beatles)

Several years back Neil was so dissatisfied with how digital recordings had stripped critical overtones from those of analog recording. He felt so strongly he proposed a new standard for digital music. Recording and playback of much denser sound data to approximate the richness of previous LP recordings. The music industry was having none of that!

And to my point: this re-mastered version of Magical Mystery Tour was sharp/brittle to my hearing. With my oft noted degradation of acuity. Higher treble notes bordered on painful! (I’m not like my younger self that occasionally cranked up volume.😵‍💫)

I liked the exchange between Cal and Nia. Some things we do because they feel good to us!

Like making a gratitude list to create or enhance feelings of gratefulness. Does the act of writing words on paper truly cause one to feel grateful? Let’s leave that in the sesame seed oil realm.

Last I’d like to note that you took Sir Francis Bacon’s words to heart. Job well done. 😊

I lack knowledge, awareness, and strong interest in the mechanics of music. I’m more of a — “Oh! I love this song!” girl who rolls with them as the come. 🤷‍♀️

The song is a perfect fit to the post IMHO. 😁

Isn’t that a great quote?!

I think the fact that my first music was on LPs, and I gradually upgraded those sound systems for more faithful (and satisfying) reproduction of the analog sound of musicians I so appreciated, tuned my brain to that “sound.”

I’m not questioning the basis for your enjoyment. Just offering mine.

Yes, the song fits well. The quote? Rolls off the tongue!

My brother bought and installed a cassette player in my first car. I’m guessing it was on the low end of quality because it ate more tapes than it played. 😂 I loved it though… likely because it was a real sign of love.

My first three cars had AM radios only. The third, a VW bus, was converted to a CD + FM player of good quality. The salesman wanted to display the ruggedness of CDs by tossing one like a frisbee toward a block wall! It still played. There’s a sales technique!

I try hard to prevent damage to LPs and CDs. Streaming? How does one damage electrons?😉
