Thalia smiled and turned the volume up until sound reverberated off of the poetry plum painted wall.
Urania frowned and turned it down so that only a fly resting on the speaker could hear Mozart’s music.
Calliope found a nice spot in the middle and said, “Okay. Let’s try it.”
Words from Typist:
Button: “ELEVATORS TERRIFY ME! So I’m taking steps to avoid them.” 😁
I can have classical music in the background when I'm writing, that's about it. Even orchestral music from a movie doesn't work — I think "Oh this is scene where—" and I lose my mental thread.
I have not tried writing with music playing in the background. I do however write with a live jazz band playing at all hours of the day and night. Emily is on the trumpet, Ben is on the saxophone, Coco on the piano, Justin on the bass, and Todd on the piano. The passing cars, pets, and people play other instruments as needed. Oh, and I forgot The Wiggles! They are always jamming with the rest of the band.
