Thinking of you and trusting that your radiation treatment went well and that you're moving steadily in the direction of c-free living. Cheers to you to be here.
If the treatments do cause you to glow, that may actually inspire your Hallowe’en costume! A glow-in-the-dark gremlin. Poor Henny😱🤷🏽
Today’s title brings to mind, Daniel Day-Lewis, whom I first saw in The Unbearable Lightness Of Being. His character, a surgeon, was untethered by society’s rules and normal moral standards of that time. My take was that the “unbearable” state resulted from never being grounded in anything.
Imagine having too much freedom? Too much gaiety? Too many options...
In your instance, it’s almost by your having guiding principles, routines, and your commitment to a path to growth and joy, you really do have freedom of your spirit! The antithesis of agoraphobia. 🙃
Best wishes today for crossing off the “to-dos” from your to-do list. Them moving on to your “to-be” list! Cheerio!
Several years later, Day-Lewis starred in "Last Of The Mohicans." More or less based on the book by James Fenimore Cooper of the same title. The actual "last of the Mohicans" are in NE Wisconsin. All that aside, only the best of days will do!
I’ve only watched four of his movies and just searched to find many more I plan to watch now. From the handsome, carefree surgeon in Unbearable to the brave warrior in Last to a spastic quadriplegic in My Left Foot, his range as an actor amazes me.
Cool video Bobby. Thanks for sharing! The space/science references remind me of a question I asked in a Medium post long ago… We’re humans created to be creative?
Clearly, I believe I am indeed a channel for God’s creativity, particularly when it comes to writing ✍🏼. The surprise for me was when God tapped me on the shoulder and suggested I could learn to draw as well…
This was a huge revelation because prior to December 1st, 2021 and this TEDx:
My drawing progressed after the first elephant someone sent me was recreated by my own hand…
When I observed my completed tiger sitting on my drawing ✍🏼 table, I wondered to myself about who had snuck into my house to create something so Wonder-Full?
How often does God tap us on the shoulders? How often do we miss the tap? I shudder to think how many invitations I’ve missed. 🤦♀️
I did pick up on a watercolor “tap” that led to a sketching “tap”. Now I sketch and paint as a procrastination tool… or can reframe that? 🤷♀️Maybe sketching and painting right now are complementary to other things that are coming?
Yes, Bobby. I thought that presentation was well laid out. I used to wonder how inventors used machines or tools of known limitations (machine tolerances, e.g.) to make more precise tools? Creativity surely comes into play! Making a lathe accurate to 1/1000 of an inch using one that was accurate to 1/500th?! Making a more powerful gas engine using less c.i. displacement than it’s forerunner with less h.p. but greater c.i. displacement. 🤷🏽 Like the newest/last Corvette!
T-shirt: “My glass is empty. Quick! Call WINE-1–1!” 😁
Maybe after your treatment? 🍷
Excellent suggestion! 😃
Jack- I’m rolling! 🍷11 😂🤣😂
None for me… 32 years clean and sober. We can have ☕️ though! 😎
Cheers! ☕️😊☕️

It was so easy! The biggest challenge was “not helping!” as Robband Kelly positioned my body before the machine could work its magic. :)

I haven’t seen the film, but as demonstrated by today’s 3mm title… the film’s title has seeped into my brain.
Thank you for your well wishes! It’s going to be a great day. ☀️

NE Wisconsin???
I haven’t seen that film either. 🤔
While pushing a loaded
cart to truck, a young man who was collecting carts from the parking lot complimented me on my outfit. I grinned about it for half of my drive home!
How wonderful!
You must see it! Epic!
A masterful piece of cinematography and a brilliant love story!

I see I have some movies to investigate/watch!
Gary-
Your reply got me thinking about a little TED Ed I stumbled across one day when thinking about creative constraints. Containers for creativity!

We are merely instruments of the infinite… 🙏🏼🎨🙏🏼
From the Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron:
I am a channel for God’s creativity, and my work comes to good.
As a I create and listen, I will be led.
I love Julia Cameron’s work!

I was at best, a poor stick figure artist…
My drawing progressed after the first elephant someone sent me was recreated by my own hand…
When I observed my completed tiger sitting on my drawing ✍🏼 table, I wondered to myself about who had snuck into my house to create something so Wonder-Full?
I am blessed beyond measure!

You draw beautiful eyes and fur! 🐯
In God’s image. From that framing, I’m thinking “creating” is part of the package.

Creativity comes in many forms! Including precise craftsmanship.
YES! I am grinning. Ear to ear! 😂🤣😂
I feel my replica looks more “hobbit/goblin” than “adorable baby” 😂.
