Door mat: “PLEASE PLACE PACKAGES WHERE SPOUSE WILL NOT SEE THEM” 😁

That's a wonderful (whimsical?) chicken in the forest!

Yes! Whimsical chicken inspired by an artist I follow on Instagram... My idea to put it in the forest. 😂

Do you and Deb ever order anything from these catalogues that bring us all so much joy?

"As the unknown swirls around me, I remember that showing up with a smile and kindness is the currency of love and service." ~JackH

I love this Jack!

“Showing up with a smile and kindness is the currency of love and service.”

One of my phrases… “Stories are the currency of connection.”

I like the idea of showing up with a smile, kindness, AND a story. 😊

That's where I got the word currency from! It popped up courtesy of my subconscious and my brain didn't make the connection to you and "Stories are the currency of connection."

Good thing we're both fans of Kleon. All artists steal whether they know it or not!

Reminds me of one of my favorite poems. The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.

As I am reading The Midnight Library, I am reminded of Scrooge and It's a Wonderful Life. There really is know way to know what will grow from what we plant, but we can aim for growing love?

I think Frost once say, "I know this about life... it goes on." I've taught of that often since I first read it sometime in the last year or so. It goes on...

I am enjoying the paper back books you sent me. When I first started reading them, it was after I had gone to bed and so I didn't need the big light on I turned my Nook on and balanced it on my chest leaning against my chin. I held the book up in front of the Nook while I read. That way the light didn't shine down the hall to dsturb my daughter's sleep. That only lasted a night or two. I had to take a break until I could get one of those little book lights. We have a big heavy kitty who loves to lay across my neck under my chin when I use my Nook. Now I can read and not have her pushing the Nook into my throat. When my arms start hurting and getting heavy from having to hold the book way out in front of Callie on my chest I stop reading and get to sleep. These three kitties rule the roost here. I am their personnel slave but I wouldn't change it for any reason. Still praying your treatment is a go for Thursday.

Thank you Kathy!

My friend Bobby has been drawing lions. We often share pictures of what we are working on. I will always think of you when I see African wildlife. Maybe one day Substack will allow us to post photos in the comments section.

Great book choice. We do create our lives through choices: “Every day,” he said, “many times every day, you can go one way or the other way. You can go with anger or not go. Go with greed or not go. Go with hate or not go…Two ways.” Breakfast with Buddha…Glad I made the choice to read it. 🙏💙

P.S….Some days I enjoy flat water, other days I choose sparkling water. Both days are good.

oh! Thanks for the quote from Breakfast with Buddha. the character Rinpoche has been one of my greatest teachers!

I learned to say "flat water" from Ted Lasso. 😄

Tell Cal I think "exploring" is your life theme. Asking "gently provocative" questions. Just the kind of 21st century woman this world needs right now.

I’ve told her… She feels better for hearing — and likes to think of herself as an explorer!

Thank you Karen! 💚♥️💜
