“Whooooo came up with such brilllll-yantz?” Thalia licks a dollop of umami from her finger.
Nią bows to the recipe’s inventor. “Sweet, sour, and a little bit salty.”
“A cre-aaa-shun par ex-sehl-aaaaaantz.”
“Not everybody loves the eclectic like we do…” Cal contemplates, “… some might prefer a brownie… or… plain broccoli even? The world is delectably full of all kinds of kinds.”
We are here to witness the creation and abet it.
We are here to notice each thing so each thing gets noticed.
Together we notice not only each mountain shadowing each stone on the beach but, especially, we notice the beautiful faces and complex natures of each other.

A note from Loveletterist:
I suspect the cooking show divas have nothing to fear from me.

There is still powdered sugar in the crevices of my computer. 🤦🏻♀️
😎 My remarkable penchant for making my partly composed post disappear is alive once more! The post wasn’t on par with “War and Peace” though it was nearly as many words...😆
My mom used to bake a creation resembling your lemon squares. A nice reminder.
Here I need some help. The comments from Muses about “umami” don’t align in my mind with lemon squares. So I’ve inferred that umami creation is in the third video? I’ve not viewed it yet but soon will.
I really like the guilt-free recipe card. The line after “serves” is blank! 😉 My kind of chef. There’s nothing more rigid than a recipe saying: When cooled 20’ on a wire baking rack, cut into 24 uniform rectangles. I purposely cut non-uniform size’s anticipating some may prefer smaller/larger servings. 🤷🏽
Bring on the “beautiful faces and complex natures” Annie Dillard spoke of. As we sit to enjoy the slice of our liking. 🙏🏽
