“The murder mystery dinner was fun!” Thalia twittered. “Too bad we played the recording and found out who the murderer was before we’d finished the game.”
“Ahh, yes,” Urania sighed. “The funniest part of the game was in our challenge to figure out how to play… understanding when it was our character’s turn to speak. Some of the ad libs our fellow suspects came up with were really funny!”
“Our friends were kind to Typist… offering support and some thoughtful small gifts,” Cal added. “In addition to what’s in the photo… there is a cookbook.”
“And the giver said, ‘Take photos of recipes you would like and I will make them for you.’” Tal said. “We will take her up on it after our first treatment… when we have some understanding of how Typist’s body responds to the drugs.”
A word from Typist:
The twistable colors are fun… and might take the place of watercolors if I cannot bring water and paints on infusion days. I often use an expression about things being “the bomb” if I like them — seems kind of inappropriate with what’s happening in current events.
As many of you know, I follow news with a light touch… aware that most of it is not within my sphere of influence. That said, I am watching Zelensky’s leadership with great admiration.
Most people are good and the world is full of light, if only we choose to see.
Wow! The whole of all my thoughts and feelings around this has me singing, “It’s all too beautiful.” From the song, “Itchycoo Park” released in 1967. Before reading today’s 3mm I had considered sending Paintist/Typist this advice: “When you go for upcoming appointments always have The Muses holding your hands.” Yep. Right there in the sub-title.
And Cal, Nia, and Tal! Playing a game with a murderer in your midst? And you persisted in the game despite having already learned his or her identity?! A little risky don’t you think?
Today’s painting… My take on the “bomb” reference was “These are the apples.” But Paintist, that’s in no way a critique of your efforts but more than likely that my upcoming eye exam will have the optometrist singing, “There’ll be some changes made.”
I, too, have developed a strong liking and admiration for President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. It’s simply not enough to note his remarkable leadership ability. We can’t overlook his appearing on a show not unlike Dancing With The Stars. Or doing the voice for a Ukrainian version of Paddington Bear! I’ve started following a diverse group of Ukrainian citizens on Twitter and their Tweets made me aware of his other “talents.”
When he was elected in 2019 as president, I often heard in our media that Ukraine had elected a comedian to be their President! Yup, another hat he’s worn. But in videos of his remarks recently, there’s no clown show. He strikes me as confident, inspiring, and 100% dedicated to Ukraine’s freedom from oppression and for looking to wholesale involvement of her citizens. An 80 year old woman familiarizing herself with a semi-automatic rifle in preparation to go to battle! A farmer stealing a Russian tank with his tractor!
“It’s all too beautiful.” And it’s delightful that you have three Muses. If one experiences a muscle cramp while holding your hand, just think of the process like tag team wrestling. Perhaps with a bit less body-slamming!
I love your friend's idea of having you take pictures of a recipe you like for her to whip up for you. If I lived nearby, I'd offer the same. Since that won't work, I'll make up for it with hearty well wishes and sweet virtual hugs. Good luck this week, Gail.
