I’m recalling Depak Chopra discussing intention during a live appearance here years ago. The gist is he had decided to write a tribute to Rumi, but he decided he needed an illustrator for the book. Not any illustrator but one “with a passion for Rumi.” Ultimately his daughter in London offered a name she got from a friend, urging DePak to follow that lead. Later, during a trip to LA to appear and record an interview for a nighttime talk show, he had time to spare and pulled to the curb on a residential street. Remembering his daughter’s suggestion he found the phone # of the illustrator and decided to call. When his call was answered he explained who he was and why he was calling. Turns out he had parked directly in front of the illustrator’s home!
So now I’ll ask how you found the designer/illustrator for POISE?
First he invited me to contribute a story to Dear Gratitude. Next he introduced me to his editor and cover designer. Then he helped me to figure out how to use Vellum software, to purchase ISBNs, and to navigate Amazon self-publishing.
Siri is a saboteur! “For” became “first.” I sometimes mutter in an accusatory tone, out loud, when that happens. Then she pipes up, “I didn’t get that.” 🤭
Holy Mackerel! The kid will be hoping for a big bass! 😂
Searching for a video yesterday, I went through my YouTube archives. I didn’t find what I was looking for, but DID find a number of awesome things I’d forgotten… including Fishermen’s Friend. Their music warms me!
