A word from Typist:
What do you think of this look for the muses?
As might be expected, Thalia turned out near perfect on the first wild romp with the brushes. I’d like to give Urania and Calliope a few more tries. Cal looks too sad, and Nia — too pink.
I’m participating in an online sketchbook workshop. Something about the colorful portrait demonstration yesterday grabbed the muses by their pinkies and said, “C’mon! This we’ve got to try!!!”
I feel like this is the look we’ve been waiting for… what about you?
I find things to love in them all. Just like humans. At least that's my intent. I agree with Bobby - you'll know and the girls will tell you when they are fully expressed. I look forward to seeing their personal growth!
BUTTON: “SLEEP IS FOR WIMPS! Happy, healthy, well-rested wimps, but wimps nevertheless” 😁
(I found one of my old button collections. I used to keep them on the walls of my cubicles as I changed jobs. Now I no longer have cubicle walls, and my buttons are in my photo archives.)
Gail, while I appreciate the ongoing visual evolution of your Muses, to me they are voices in my head. Not so much solid humans as color and sparkles and laughter and distant background music. Who eat cookies and play around in the kitchen... somehow.
Not to discourage you, just letting you know that you are painting what the number seven smells like. 😊
