Sign: “Decided to pull out a nose hair to see if it hurt. Based on the scream from the guy asleep next to me on the bus, yes it does!” 😁

You made a pretty cat! I’m with Thal and Nia — enjoy the result!

Yeowch!

And, thank you. Nia sees room for improvement, but we’ve locked her outside in the snow for now.

Awwww! Please let her back in... 😂🤣😂

I thoroughly adore the cat 🐈‍⬛ AND @Spangler’s reply to you... AND Jack’s humor!

Emotive escape… yes!!!

How about this one:

Art is a language which anneals individuals to each other through experiences that are uniquely human.

“Anneals” is a favorite word!

Great quote. I love it!

One of my all time favorites below. 👇🏼

“Art makes life bearable. It isn’t a luxury. Like our capacity for understanding, and our experience of love, it is a vitally important part of life.”

I have trouble with the paradox between “making life bearable” and “being grateful for the wondrous gift of life.”

🤷‍♀️

Not the first paradox to send me chasing my own tail!

Think of “c” as an example… I would submit that “Art” helped make “c” bearable at first... With time, art even helped you “see” it as a gift… 🎁

I have never read that Michelangelo used anyone's guide for painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel? History suggests that he did an alright job! To what degree were his results "needed" for worship? In a similar vein, a friend who lives in Kyiv, Ukraine, often posts images of Kyiv's beautiful architecture. Many underground subway stations at a glance seem to have been inspired by Michelangelo as well! And serve double duty as air raid shelters now.

Some view "art" with disdain - paintings, sculpture, poetry, dance. To others it is their life blood! I'm thinking of a couple right now.

I once watched a male ballet dancer performing solo in an old abandoned church. It appeared in an article questioning whether ballet was art or sport. "Both" was my reaction. For worshipers in the Sistine Chapel I can guess the work Michelangelo produced indeed does add to the experience of being in a heavenly place. And in the Kyiv subway stations, the artists' forms and colors are beautiful any day of the week, but also soothing to those who take shelter in them.

Today I don't imagine artist/drawist/typist fell over once!

Recently saw a video of Ukrainian's underground (for safety reasons) making the best of their situation with music and dancing.

All kinds of kinds make the world the beautiful place that it is? There is a time for art... and a time for balancing the checkbook? The line is blurring for Urania and it's freaking her out! 😂

Our driveway is slick with snow and ice, but Henny behaved on our trips up/down and I stayed upright!
