Gail, you may kvetch about chemo to any of us, any time, for reasons profound or trivial. We will give you 💚💚💚 and {*{*{*hugs*}*}*} and variations thereof because that is what we do, and why we are here. 😊
Also: Deb reminded me to tell you that we gave away all the Shared Kindness envelopes we brought along on the Alaska cruise, to drivers, guides, servers, concierges, and Dede & Holis, the guys who took care of our stateroom. Thank you! Your envelopes made things special(er)!
Huh, is complaining about something showing disrespect or disinterest? I feel in this context your decision makes absolute sense; and, also I don't think I've actually heard you complain so much as delineate or describe. Is acknowledging the negative that comes with a conscious decision actively unhealthy, passive unhealthy, unrelated, or ??? Does it depend on context or is it absolute or about frame of mind or ??? Interesting food for thought.
When I write about it (anything that might be perceived as negative) I feel like I’m making an unbiased observation. After I hit publish, my mind transforms it into whining. 😂
I agree with many of the people here: you can whine, talk, complain, explain about chemo as much as you want. Actually, you haven't even started to whine yet. Why aren't you whining, Gail? It would make you more human!! ;-P
It is there and a big part of you life now; why should you hide it?
You are such a boss Gail! Even though you are incapable of whining - describing is not whining. I’d be v interested in what you think of Summerhill when you’ve finished the book? Also I love that second quote from Rumi, I may steal... 😇
If someone were to ask me if I have a real life superhero, I would actually say I have two. I have more than that, but I would just say I have two, at least two women anyway… One of them goes by the handle, Typist. The other one is a friend of Typist’s and her name is Billie.
Both are heroes in their own regard, but since I’m talking about women, I guess I should actually be saying, heroines… 🤔
I want to come to Wisconsin and climb the trees and hang upside down with Talia. I love how you incorporated the flowers into your drawing. Once again, you have inspired me to explore something new and appreciate the beauty around me.
You know what? The addition of the flowers today was the result of something you planted! In an art piece you shared with me, you as the artist added real string to represent cords for a swing. I thought, “That’s so cool.” And then I stole. 💜💚♥️
BUTTON: “To err is human, to ARRR! is pirate.” 😁

Oooh… kvetch. I like it!
Great news about GoSK. Making a mental note to send more little cards your way!

Lots of love from this side of the ocean!!
Hahaha! Thank you for giving me a laugh.

Steal away! I did!
Oh! Summerhill is not disappointing. All kinds of agreement AND perspective challenging information. I will pass along more thoughts as they come.
I actually bought the book because Anthony de Mello suggested the book in his book Awareness. I’m glad I bit.

Tomato, tomahto. 💜♥️💚
Thank you… Reminds me of that quote I posted recently from… who was it? About a hero balancing freedom with responsibility.
Thank you for introducing me to Billie. She’s changed my life!

Thanks Ilene!

Love that! If you are up for a trip to Vermont this summer I’d love for you to visit and help me plant some seeds (both literally and figuratively). 💜
If I can figure out a way to visit Vermont with treatment, I’m in! And you surely are welcome here!!!
Art and theft… We could write a book! Oh wait, I think Austin did! 🤣😂🤣
Love this thread… As an emerging artist I am soaking up everything! I am a very thirsty sponge! 🧽 🎨
I'm hard pressed to say more than "Hurrah!" Oh, and I'll trade you two lotus blossums for one windflower blossom. I drive a hard bargain.
Windflower can also be called anemones I learned today. I have a massive patch in full bloom right now. Happy to make the trade!
Gail-
Can you imagine what I might create with access to your woods and flower garden? 💐🪴💐 🌲🌳 🌲
You can bet I’m fine tuning my awareness. Where are you getting all of natural materials you’re using in your displays? What do you call them?
Earth 🌎 Art! Impermanent Art!
Everything is gather while out on my wonder walks in my neighborhood!
This is fun AND explains it well 😊
