I'm aware you follow my fellow writer Jay Armstrong. His post today really captured the essence of living and embracing the storm. I ordered a shirt and can't wait to wear it... with an appropriately matching scarf. 😂
I envision fluffy clouds drifting away and leaving in a steady stream leaving only health and wellness (and rainbows) where they once were.
As for the red and pink: Emily left for school (Todd dressed her) in a navy top and navy, black, white leggings with tie-dyed high tops and pink necklace and pink ponies. I mentioned the clash (I understand Nia's distress) and Todd said, "It is all about contrast. Contrast is good."
You have become A Fighter and a good one. You and your amazing team have reduced C. to a fraction of what it used to be, and soon you will defeat completely. Go TEAM TYPIST!!
“It’s not what you look at, it’s what you see.” Thoreau, I think. That quote kept popping up in The Midnight Library. :) I like what you see Billie!
Nia had come to appreciate personality and mis-matched outfits. Thalia’s winning her over on some fronts. 😂 I like Todd’s observation that contrast is good.
I tried to imagine “indefatigable” in place of undefeatable... I lean toward some older roots of contemporary English. Perhaps due to my mother having an English major and a French minor from her college days in the late 30’s. Her English training inclined her to recite passages from Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tails.” 🤔 In old English! While just walking around the house, cooking, whatever. One always comes to mind (in our current tongue): When that April, with its showers sweet, has pierced the drought of March to the root! Begging your indulgence, Mr. Chaucer.
Rambling... any knee news to share? I hope the healing is going well. When does dance instruction come around? Wedding?
Now that you mention it, Gary- I was reading undefeatable and thinking indefatigable. 🤣 In Gail's case, they are interchangeable. And thanks for asking about my knee--it's slowly on the mend, but my only dancing so far is the kitchen shuffle. My younger son gets married in fall 2023 --plenty of time to plan my dance floor moves!
Reading your blog today and all of the comments... Joy is the word of the day.
On the clothing color combinations - love it! Contrast, oh Billie that’s a blog in itself. Okay I am going to out myself on some nasty thing I used to do to our middle brother. My brother Andrew is 2 1/2 years younger than me. He is also color blind. As a child I didn’t much care for him. I was an only child till he came around. And I loved that status! So, every once and a while my mother would be busy with the baby- my youngest brother and ask me to get Andrew dressed for the bus stop. Oh, she didn’t have to ask me twice. Red, green, stripes, 2 different colored socks... anything to make him look foolish for the day. Ah, contrast.
Slow and steady wins the race. Rushing through treatment isn't a good thing. You want to make sure you really have stomped that awful "C" word way down into the ground and covered it up with sooo much cement it will be afraid and unable to show it's face again. I have faith in your doctors. Treatments today are so much different than they were 25 years ago.
Wow, Gail! Fabu on the C front. Just the mention of pancakes is enough to make me want a bite, or two.
If I could share my red/green color deficiency with you, the clashes of reds and pinks would no longer matter so much. 🤔
So, here’s to strong blood, light hearts, drawing dogs, and being. In this moment. Methinks it’s a good one. 😁 CURE!

Check out Jay's letter here: http://writeonfighton.org/2022/05/19/enjoy-the-storm/
I follow Jay, too, lol. I probably have his letter somewhere in my overflowing email inbox. Yup - there it is. Enjoy the storm today!

Ohhh! What a fantastic way to see life. 😊
Yes. Keeping the lid on (one’s noggin’) has lots of downsides. Thanks for that buoyant message!

All the best of health and heart!

And how do you feel about him as an adult? 😂
My older brother teased me mercilessly. Ahhh! Sibling love.
He’s alright. Lol! No he’s great
Correction 3 1/2 years younger.
This is hilarious! I'm sure he didn't give a hoot anyway.
Oh but my Mother did! Lol
🤣
Necklace: “Fate whispers to the warrior, ‘You cannot withstand the storm.’ The warrior whispers back, ‘I AM THE STORM.’” 💪
I've been waiting to use this one. Seems like a good time. 💚💚💚💚💚 & {*{*{*h*u*g*s*}*}*}
Where do I get that necklace?!
Thanks Jack! ♥️💜💚💚💜♥️
Are you home?
We are indeed! Trip of a lifetime, but it’s nice to be home again. 😊
Your beautiful backyard and screened porch welcoming you into summer!
It did feel a *little* bit odd to go from standing in a snowstorm on Monday to admiring dianthus and iris on Thursday…
That's great news Gail. Much love.
Thank you Pennie! xo
